it is a kick ass movie.

if only we had gotten to see the exchange student naked :sigh:

But it is always an exhilarating sight when you see an annoying punk kid get hurt...  The skis on the bicycle is classic!

Not a movie per se... I bought the David Spade SNL disc. I am having a party on Inauguration Night celebrating the removal of Bush from office. I'll be screening the Total Bastards Airlines skit where he and Helen Hunt tell all the passengers exiting, "BUH-BYE"

Three recent movies watched... Snatch, Hitch and The Professional. Of those I thought Snatch was best and Hitch the worst. Most recent at the movies... Quantum of Solace. Gotta love those Aston Martins. ;0  I think Roger Craig is one of the best Bonds yet, on a par with Connery but for different reasons.

I just watched Wristcutters on On-Demand.  I thought it was pretty good, so if you're looking for something to watch and you've got On-Demand, check it out.

The Children's Hour (1961)

Really, really good, but depressing.

Wait. More heartbreaking than depressing.

I saw Gran Torino last night, and I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. At times it seemed like the writers opened a book of racial slurs and tried to fit them all in, but overall it was a good take on guilt, friendship, and life/death. They also had the gang influence in neighborhoods dynamic down. (I also really liked the positive portrayal of mentoring and honor.)

I watched FLOW last night.

http://www.flowthefilm.com/

I was really hesitant because I thought it was going to be a bunch of greenhouse gas/be green or die activist spouting off some Al Gore inspired bullshit.

I was actually really surprised that I learned some things I didn’t know about the way the water system works. It was also really nasty; bloody water, shit and worm infested water. It was fucking gross and sad at the same time.

Plus it had Penn and Teller’s cut from the Bullshit they did on bottled water and how it’s actually more un-regulated than most water treatment facilities, and of course I fucking love that P&T.

There were a lot of “we need more government involvement” statements, but overall it was interesting to watch.

Has anyone else see it?

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Great movie, very spiritually moving and has a lot of heart.

The plot was stupid and made no sense, but it really is just a very visual film.
First time I saw it ever too.
