Well, my friends (who have read the series) say that the book was way better than the movie, so I'll have to take them on their word. I thought the main vampire dude was creaming his pants when the chick walked into the classroom, but he was just smelling her blood.

I watched 'Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny' last night.  It was fucking tasty.

Last Netflix: "Keeping Mum," a dark comedy. Better than I expected, actually.

Last flick on the big screen: "Quantum of Solace," an enjoyable Bond escapist adventure. I only go to the theater a few times a year for those movies which must, simply must be seen on the big screen.

I took my kids to see Madagascar II last night. It was pretty funny.

I thought it was ok.  Anything that makes the CIA look like a pack of jackasses is alright in my book.

For anyone who has kids, Watership Down is really good. If your kid is really sensitive, some scenes might stick with them a bit. Snares, gunshots and even dirt filled burrows end up with some rabbits dying. Not too graphic but certainly something not seen very often in kids movies.

Here's a trailer:

Quote
Watership Down has been described as an allegory, with the labours of Hazel, Fiver, Bigwig, and Silver "mirror[ing] the timeless struggles between tyranny and freedom, reason and blind emotion, and the individual and the corporate state."[10] Adams draws on classical heroic and quest themes from Homer and Virgil, creating a story with epic motifs.[11] Additionally, some scholars have perceived a strong misogynic element.[12]

Saw Quantum of Solace last night. It was very, very mediocre. Save your money and your time.

Watership Down is great. My kid is still a couple of years too young for it, but rest assured it's on the menu.

Also supremely recommended for kids: Mouse and Child.

Last night I watched "The True Story of Che Guevara"

Since there is going to be a main stream movie about him. I thought I would prepare to debate people over him.

On Sunday, all three Terminator movies, back to back.

Tonight, part 5 of Cosmos.

I think I'll watch The Passion of the Christ tonight. I haven't seen it since it first came out in theaters.

Brick.

Watch it NOW.

You can find it on torrent sites.  Once you watch it for free, buy that shit and support a little known director.

His next film, The Brothers Bloom, looks pretty good too.
