There's a cuple things to admire in Tom, but they're not his acting.

Years ago I read that he helped some poeple who were in a car crash near his  house, and he brought out his helicopter once to help search for a missing kid. Other than that and his scientology/bonkers on Oprah stuff I don't know anything else about him.. except that he's a fruit loop.

But hey... go ahead and donate your money to Hollywood and the big entertainment industry, like a sucker. It's not like there are any alternatives to that sort of rubbish entertainment. Fool.

I didn't donate any money. I paid for a service and a product, and got what I wanted. If you want to play the non-conformist schtick, be my guest, but when a movie is good, and I like it, I'm going to fucking enjoy it. I don't care where it comes from. I'm just as big an independent movie buff as I am a Hollywood buff. Unlike you, I don't base my criticisms on where a movie was produced, but how it changed my life. If you have any recommendations, I'll be glad to hear them.

This.

I just don't get some of the people here.  If you think something is crap, then don't watch it.  Why do have to hate on the people that enjoy being entertained by hollywood?

I ain't be hatin' foo'.. just riling him up a bit.  :)

But no joke- I just can't stand the whole Hollywood Star thing.. just like I can't stand every other mainstream/copycat/bland/unoriginal "entertainment".

Garfield The Movie was good though.

I can't stand it either...  I Also don't understand the whole star worship thing either.  The Papparazzi, the whole Schpleel.  I mean I have better things to do than worship these people.  <sigh>

I don't watch TMZ, and I won't stay in places where it is on.  I explain this shit to friends.  If I disagree with a group of people's actions that are legal and shouldn't be legislated or restricted by force

then the least I can do is not patronize, and not watch, and let someone else, anyone else, know why and give them the information to make their own decision.  Most people I talk to hate paparazzi, and it comes up after their third hour of watching E! channel.   I just say "why even watch them, write them a letter tell them you disagree with their paparazzi mentality"

I've had a few people agree, and say they would join in on such a boycott.  I don't feel like I've lost anything really.  I still hear the gossip I still don't want to.

I liked Valkyrie.

But then again, we all sorta know how the story ends.

My roommate rented Mamma Mia, and it's the worst movie I've ever seen.

I would probably join you for the most part in that boycott.

I'll watch it in Russian.  Since I do have an innate understanding of it and all.
