Spirited Away was a good movie, as was Ponyo. I've heard of Castle in the Sky and Howl's Moving Castle but have not seen either.

Love those movies too.  Princess Mononoke was creepy and eerie.

Princess Mononoke was pretty awesome.
I am a fan of the "Blood" series, myself. I also like the Chevalier Deon series...

And of course, Bible Black. Oh yeah.

There should be some other name for those animated things, rather than "movies."  Rarely ever seen one I'd recommend...The Incredibles, I suppose, and Wall-E, or whatever.  Maybe another Pixar production or two was worth watching....

The Incredibles, I suppose,

One of my all-time favorite movies. Right up there with Becket and Patton.

Wall-E was one of the most economically (and technologically) IGNORANT movies I have ever witnessed. Pretty, though.

Recently re-watched the 1962 Mancurian Candidate. Wonderful, and very obviously why it was forced into obscurity for so long after it was made.

Land Of The Blind  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0433405/

Beautifully made, excellent cast, inaudible dialog at times but that seems to be the style of the times of loud explosions and quiet voices.

No surprises, sadly, just taking modern dictatorship to new heights.

Yeah...it was...entertainment.

Great stuff.  The remake (2002, Denzel Washington?) wasn't bad, either.

The Ghost Writer http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139328/

Someone really doesn't like Tony Blair.

Kim Cattrall did quite a passable British accent, while Tom Wilkinson's American accent was perfect.

As far as scary movies go, this one isn't really as much scary as it is fully captivating...

Let Me In

Not a traditional vampire movie as far as characters is concerned, but it beats the hell out of that New Moon shit. I liked the story and was pleasantly surprised.

Let Me In

I saw the original Swedish version which I thought was quite good.  I'm curious to see what Americans did to it.

Ah, NetFlix instant streaming. Queued for when I have time.

Thanks!

I didn't cooperate in govt school, so I have no trouble reading subtitles.

I usually prefer it to bad dubbing, which is how dubbing seems to always be.
