I have to ask, since the womb miscarries like 70 percent of fertilized eggs before pregnancy can even be verified, doesn't this by logical necessity make the womb a natural serial killer? Sounds to me like we'd be ethnically obligated to disable all wombs in the world to prevent the deaths of millions of pre-babies. 

I have no idea.  I was under the (mis?)impression that almost always (at least in the US) a baby comes out after a lady becomes prego.  I mean, I know my grandma told me that she miscarriaged on a set of twins but that was decades ago.
