Internet Anonymity
« on: June 04, 2009, 06:39:28 PM »

Do you do anything to become anonymous on the internet? If so, what do you use?

Have you ever done any anonymous sharing, or bit-torrenting, and if you did - how?

Anonymizer.com - $25 a year with a % off coupon you can find on Google. Connection is encrypted between your computer an the internet for all connections if you want. Good for anything passing through unsecure or secure HTTP.  I use this for privacy/security when I'm using WiFi at a location other than my house.

I'd use Tor, but it's slow.

I used to seed anonymously through bittorrent using Tor, but again, it's slow as fuck.

I use Tor occasionally to give me the placebo effect that I'm actually being smart and not putting myself at risk, but I know the rest of my computer security is so half arsed that it probably doesn't make a difference.
