I Don't Go Anywhere Without My Switchblade

Since I'm in CA I don't go around with a switchblade, but I often do carry a 3 or 4 inch lockblade which is completely legal to concealed carry here.  The other day I saw a guy open carrying a 9" or so bowie style knife and thought of this song.

I originally read the title as "I don't go anywhere without my sandwhich."

I don't like weapons.

I almost always carry a knife, although I don't see it primarily as a weapon. I am certainly aware of its potential for use as such.

At work I carry a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson M&P.

Guns are my only fashion bug, which is ironic because it's a thing no one else can see.

I have 4 regular carry guns, and I'd have more if I could afford to practice with more. $50 or so a week is expensive.

Here in dickhole Illinois, you cant carry, but I still carry my Glock 30 in a case in my work vehicle sometimes. Kinda pointless if I needed it real quick though.

You can open carry firearms in ME, but I don't like to open carry. I haven't got around to taking the stupid class for the concealed carry permit yet, or getting my DL changed over to ME.

I almost always have a couple of knives on me.

A weapon could save your life, or that of a loved one.

It's just a tool, and can be used for good or evil just like a hammer, chainsaw, rope, electricity, nuclear power, etc. etc. etc.

I clicked "Sometimes" because while I dont actively carry around any form of self defense right now, I am constantly within reach and using very sharp knives at my work.

I carry a Gerber on my belt. It's legally a weapon in Norway but it would be more dangerous to the user if used as anthing other than weight in the fist. So I said no.

I'll sometimes carry a small canister of pepper spray to ward off stray dogs when I walk, but otherwise I don't go armed. I've had to use the spray, too. In bear country, I will bring some bear spray, but never had to use that, though I've seen plenty of bears.

I don't go places where one needs to worry much about getting attacked by people. I'm not nearly as nervious as some folks, who never leave the house without a firearm.
