I've had to adapt a little bit since moving.  I don't have as many towels as I did before, so I probably use them twice before washing.  Before I would never use it more than once, and I would use one for my hair and face, and one for my body.  I can't wait until I don't have to share a washer and dryer, and trudge down four flights of stairs to do it.

Isn't the water used for washing clothes and such just recycled? Not sure if anyone is saving the planet by reducing the amount of loads are done in a week. Now I could understand trying to reduce the amount of water used for outdoor yard maintinance.

My shower towel is reused once by the girl after I am done. Not sure why she just does not grab a clean one. We have lots. Maybe it is a scent thing. I do have a nice manly scent.

Yeah. We're only sorta country anyhow. We get city water but have our own sewage. When we were in Pontiac, everything went back into the system.

Kitchen towels - daily

Washcloths - daily

Bath towels are 4 days in winter, 2 in summer.
(Really humid here in GA - towels don't seem to dry out completely between uses from May-Sept.)

Hand towels are switched out once a week, when I change sheets.

Some day I want to be as Becky Homecky as you are Joy. I change my sheets once a month or after sex, which sometimes could be once a month or twice a day. Bath towels gets used for a week, I live in a very dry climate (does nobody dry their bum with a blow dryer, like, hello!?), hand towels a week in the winter a few days in the summer. Face cloths, I threw all of them away, they are useless, especially when you have baby wipes or hand wipes, face cloths also get dirty and hold lots of germs, they were a bad thing to invent. Fingertips are much cleaner than a dirty face cloth.

Twice daily I am thoroughly washed and then vigorously rubbed dry with the new fleece of a golden ram.  I have instructed the bathing maiden to give the used fleece to the people, for them to swaddle their newborns.  Their gratitude is wonderful to behold.

Since I come out of the shower clean (that's the point, isn't it), and that includes my asshole, I don't get too frantic about it.  It gets washed when it gets washed.

Gym shit, on the other hand, gets immediately washed when I get home, because it gets disgusting if not.

I have two sets of towels, which I swap out on Wednesday and wash on the weekend.  It's hard for me to imagine why someone would wash their towel after every single use.  It's unnecessary and a waste of energy and water (including the energy you expend excessively washing your shit).  I wash the sheets on my bed either every week or every other week, but the pillowcases are every week all the time.
