Herman Cain for President
« on: May 21, 2011, 08:23:40 PM »

Does anyone else find Herman Cain about the most refreshing politician in the past 20 years or so?

And I think he's the man to beat Obama. I've been following him and writing about him on my website "The DeAnna Review."

I suspect most readers here like Ron Paul, and I do to. But if Paul fails, Cain is a great backup. Or a Paul-Cain team?

He struck me as Obama-ish.  Didn't really say shit but sounded damn good saying it.

He seems a hell of a lot better then some, but I hope he clarifies some of his positions. If he doesn't do so he shows himself to be simply a puppet of some sort. You can't be for the gold standard and tarp at the same time. I think he is merely a opportunist.
Let me be honest though, I want the socialist to sweep all worldwide elections, thinks are going to get real no matter what we do, the last chance to save the economy was lost when the liberty dollar was seized. Better to have the obvious unapologetic statist at the helm when things go south.

Opposed to same-sex marriage.

Pro-life, opposes choice.  Opposes Planned Parenthood.

Favors performance incentives for teachers (pandering to Unions, their incentive is to NOT be fucking fired for POOR performance.)

Opposes integration of Muslims into a potential White House cabinet.

Pro-Israel.

Pro-health insurance corps.

I think I'm gonna throw up.

Herman Cain strikes me as someone who just knows how to stroke the patriotist mind penis of lazy unintellectual America..
When I hear him speak it goes something like this:

USA, USA, USA, American, America, America, America, America! USA, USA, American, America, America, USA, America, America! America, America, America, America! Stars and Stripes!

Admittedly even Ron Paul is guilty of quite a lot of this but what he espouses has actual substance.

He's just another Alan Keyes with a tad less war-mogerey and religious views.

I'd take Gary Johnson as a second choice over this guy.

Not that it really matters anyway.

Just as a side note, in that debate last month, they asked Gary Johnson about why he would legalize all drugs and he gave an answer that had to do with doing a cost vs benefit analysis study like he did in New Mexico................... the panelists and the audience alike just looked like deer in the headlights, eyes all glazed over like "wahhh?" no fucking clue, maybe 3 people clapped, otherwise .......... silence & stare. Maybe a guy way in the back yelled "come on, wheres the titties?!?!"

People, for the most part like their politicians to speak and give them a hard on while doing so. They wanna FEEL it, not have it make sense in some logical way.

Thats why we get what we get, and always will.

Romney 2012 ........... I WANNA GET MY MORMON ON!!!!!

Yes, he sounds like a politician, but he has to sound that way to get votes. At least Herman Cain has a business background with a variety of companies and the Federal Reserve branch, Kansas City.

Ok, I don't like his social conservative message, but's that's not part of the executive branch. Maybe the realm of the Supreme Court.

I still like the guy and for now, next to Ron Paul, I'm pushing Cain.

You wouldn't say "voting is for suckers" if Ron Paul were ahead in the polls.

I would.

Side note:

I was amused to see on the wiki an "articulate" reference from a newsweek article.

Not being an American I was never quite sure how much of that meme was a joke, how much whining, and how much a genuine linguistic trend when referring to prominent non sporting/musical blacks.

Unless of course he is particularly articulate.
