Best thing to do would be to sabotage the bus. Put some maple syrup in the gas tank, slash the tires, potato in the exhaust pipe,  etc.

I agree with Shaw to the point that RP wont make a difference when it comes to politics. Its impossible. I just like the fact he's out there spreading the message. Who knows, maybe some statist fuck hears him speak, thinks about some things a little, changes his tune and ends up being an anarchist in the end.

For this kind of thing, he is useful.

Very. He helped speed my conversion from Neocon to libertarian.

Yes, but would you rather jump off the bus at 55 mph or 10 mph?

It's a metaphor and you're stretching it too far.

Getting off of the bus consists of not voting. Poof. Off of the bus. The sooner you get off the further away you are from the explosion.

Also that is assuming that Ron Paul would ever actually win, which is silly.

Get everybody who wants to earn their living off the fucking bus. Offer the looters and thieves and leaches a free vacation. Aim that yellow cocksucker for the Grand Canyon, brick on the accelerator and jump.

Who is John Galt, bitches?!
Seriously, the resulting chaos and power vacuum from a state collapse would make the likelihood of a stateless society succeeding thje current regime highly unlikely. I think Paul sees this (constantly mentioning a collapse) and is trying to do what he can to mitigate the damage it does and chance for totalitarianism ro follow.
Sorry if that wasn't completely coherent. Tapped out on my Blackberry with a gurgling babbling about 'dada' and 'goo' and 'ya' in my ear. His name's Atlas.

And who suggested that a stateless society would result from a government collapse, or that a government collapse was necessarily inevitable?

A stateless society will take generations to achieve and won't involve politicians or political action.

You don't get it do you? It is a lost cause.
You keep quoting the book Atlas Shrugged, it's coming true so far.  Remember, not even Galt himself thought he could save the system in the end.
He simply did what he could to speed things along so he could perhaps live in a merit based society.
I like to call it the free one. Power vacuum could be defined as anarchy.

Thats what im talking about!

I always suggest to anyone who can get free govt cheese, welfare, SSI benefits, food stamps and all that other "help", to go ahead and do so. If it cant be fixed, which I believe to be the case, then why not just push that cocksucker over the edge as quickly as possible?

I myself dont qualify for any of these goodies. Hell, I even tried getting a govt grant for a x-mas tree farm and didn't qualify.

A power vacuum is caused by a large authority suddenly collapsing and leaving the door open for a strongman to come in and guide the indoctrinated masses. So, yes anarchy, but short lived and not the kind we would like. Like I said, one of the secondary reasons Paul is making this run is to spread the message of liberty to reduce the chance of a strongman. Speculation on my part, though.

Cool

As long as you recognize RP as just a tool for education and not someone who will save the system, everythings good.

I mean, the system could be fixed if they put ME in charge, but "they" would never put me in charge.

He's meant as a positive step for freedom in the US.

He won't be. What he'll be is a large consumption of time and money that would be better spent elsewhere.

Look, he's gonna get 1-1.5% of the vote. This is what is going to happen whether he gets a nom nom nomination or not. He'll gank up the Libertarian vote, which, while statistically insignificant and will probably be directed at another useless jackoff like Bob Barr, would probably leech less money from people.

Also, "Positive step for freedom" is probably not true. If you've got a bus scheduled to drive a group of people toward the edge of a cliff, and during the trip you replace the driver who is making a steady 55mph with Ron Paul, who is willing to slow down to 10mph, you're still gonna fly off the edge of a fucking cliff, man. It'll just take longer and everyone will blame Ron Paul supporters when it happens.

You get off of the fucking bus yo.

This whole thing is nothing but another ancap/minarchist fight hidden behind the excuse of Ron Paul.

If you're a minarchist and think that voting will help you, there's probably no better choice than Ron Paul.

If you're a market anarchist or anarchocapitalist or voluntaryist or leavemethefuckaloneian like me or whatever word applies this week, who thinks it's a sucker's game and a waste of time, you'll spend your money on something more important. Like socks or pickles or a new dildo with a wiggly rabbit on it or whatever.

The idea that people will find more freedom from politicians stealing their money by giving money to a politician hurts my fucking brain.

How wrong is it for a heterosexual male to want a wiggly rabbit dildo? I seriously scare myself from time to time.
