These guys had a kid locked in their car even though he had posed no threat to anyone.  Since there is almost no chance at all that "the law" will do anything about it the best you can hope for is to make them realize how fucked up that is and make them feel bad about it.  Which he kinda did.

I'd like to see, just as an experiment, this guy go around doing that 10 different times, same exact words and see how many times he gets clubbed over the head by the pigs.

I'd guess about 50/50, depending on the locale.
