I don't know how much of what Fisher is saying is true...but I wouldn't put it past the bastards to actually have some insiders in the FSP.
I don't have any proof that Jason Sorens is a skull and bones member. Others have suggested it. He did go to Yale.
http://pantheon.yale.edu/~jps35/

But I do know he is a boner(stiff dick), and recently move to the Buffalo, NY area and bought a home....not in NH.

Currently, I'm paying $4200 per year on a $125,000 home in a suburb of Buffalo, NY.
Lead the way, Jason!

Do you know about Amanda Phillips, president of the FSP?

The intentions of the FSP are good, but the final destination appears marred with the bloodshed of too many innocents, in my opinion.  I say this even though I also know that the other alternative is to lay in wait and do nothing while our freedoms are trampled.  I just want to try and let others know that there is another way.  A better way.

What's this better way?

He has never denied being one when asked.

Does it seem odd to any FSP member that it's founder won't even move to NH? WTF?

There is no FSP Conspiracy.
Let me ask again. How long have you been a FSP member?

This email from a former FSP  BOD member sums up alot:
Quote
From: Mary Lou Seymour [mailto:libertymls@...]
Sent: Sunday, February 29, 2004 9:36 PM
To: freestateproject@yahoogroups.com
Subject: [FSP] Resignation from FSP Board

To the FSP Board of Directors, Organizers, Members and other
interested parties;

Effective March 1, 2004 I am resigning the following positions:
Member of Free State Project's Board of Directors
Member of the Organizers List
Project Director, the Quill
Forum moderator

In order to forestall any questions, I'll make the following
statement.
When I agreed to serve on the Board in September 2003, in the wake of
the resignations of Directors Ricketts and Mckinstry, I agreed to
serve until May 2004 without resigning, unless the Board changed its
position and decided to again seek govt' 501(c)(3) status, which I
considered dangerous and inappropriate for the FSP, and would resign
if such an application were filed. As you know, the Board recently
voted first at a meeting Feb.15 at which 3 Directors were present,
and which was, in my opinion, illegally called; then reaffirmed this vote
at a second meeting Feb.22, at which all 5 Directors were present, by
a vote of 3-2, to appoint Amanda Phillips as president, and, to seek
c3 funding in order to be able to pay the president $50- 60K a year,
(without a budget even being passed) neither of which were,in my
opinion, in the best interests of the mission of the FSP. But, in
addition, the manner in which the meetings were called, the votes
were taken and the expressed desires of some Organizers that the
dissenting Board members should change their vote or abstain in order to present
the appearance of unity
, was distasteful. I was planning to resign
when the C3 application was filed. However, recent events have
precipitated my resignation to be effective March 1.

The announcement "in passing" on Feb. 28 that Elizabeth McKinstry had
allegedly turned over her National Media Rep duties to Amanda
Phillips on Feb.11,2004, with the apparent agreement of Acting President Doug
Hillman without notifying the Board or Organizers, though Elizabeth's
name and title remained on the website, as well as several other
actions including a "policy" concerning removal of the "non
responding non voters" from the member rolls
(with no vote requested from the
policy making body, the Board) my growing disinclination to support
the policy of "ignoring" the western free state movements, coupled
with the appointment of Amanda Phillips despite 2 Board members'
reservations about her past performance and her resume, plus the
resignation Feb.29 of Director Amanda Maxwell
, who I hold in the
highest regard and respect, which was responded to by the Board Chair
with not even a "thank you for your service" has led me to the
conclusion that I too no longer wish to have my name associated with
the FSP "leadership" in its current configuration and direction. My
support for the original concept of the FSP as a last ditch attempt
to see if one state can be "freed" through the electoral system remains
intact, as do my individual associations with the many friends and
associates I have made in the FSP.

Please therefore remove my name from the Board of Directors,
Organizers, and the Quill, and any associated duties or perceived
duties.

Thank you.

====================

My alternate email address is
libertymls@...

The 'bus' analogy didn't come about until the FSP tried to get 501(c)3 status. This caused the FSP to become "non-political", and as such, unable to recruite many new members to a 'project about nothing'.

The FSP has not been able to contact 2000 non-voting members, and the FSP had a policy that they would drop those  members. That has not happend. The number of FSP members is less than 5000. Why do they hide this?

Why do so many people resign from the FSP BOD?

Yes, claiming 501 (c)3 was rather idiotic for a movement inspired solely upon a political party (Libertarian) for membership.

Nevermind that they never successfully got the tax exempt status. A lot of people refused to donate because that meant they coudn't do shit as an organization. Now they want to change back? Pfft.

Do you think there is a Ian hush money conspiracy?

Do you remember when Ian was whoring to get the FSP to become a "partner"?
Do you know who is in charge of Advertising in the FSP?

Here is a chat between Ian the the suspected boner, Jason Sorens.
Q & A Chat Workshop with Jason Sorens - 12/21/04

19:01:41 [JonM] Amanda seemed a bit frazzled on Sunday

19:02:00 [jsorens] well, mary is trying to get me offline, so i'd better go, unless there remain some urgent questions

19:02:04 [katdillon] Yeah, what was up with Amanda?

19:02:19 [katdillon] Thanks so much, Jason. Have a good night!

19:02:24 [RussellK] good to hear from you Jason

19:02:27 [rothameric] Thanks for your time, Jason. It was great to hear from you.

19:02:29 [JonM] her company bought another company, she's in charge of accounting

19:02:30 [Rinku] jsorens, out of curiousity, has anyone discovered the FSP through your Civilization 2 scenarios?

19:02:39 [Rinku] (i like them)

19:02:46 [Aldridge] Thank you Mr. Sorens. Good Evening.

19:02:47 [JonM] she's flat out working on that and year end financials

19:03:06 [Rinku] (not an urgent question, sorry)

19:03:16 [jsorens] rinku - not that i know of! i stopped making those years ago, before the fsp even began... but its always possible. my personal website used to link to the fsp. (doesnt now, b/c im applying for jobs in left-wing academia)

19:03:35 [FTL_Ian] I have one

19:03:51 [jsorens] youre too kind rinku. there are many better scenarios out there than my dabblings.

19:03:51 [FTL_Ian] You made reference to doing almost everything for recruiting

19:04:03 [Rinku] alright, thanks. my respect for you improved even more after i played those.

19:04:05 [svillee] I hope that means Amanda will be less frazzled in January

19:04:08 [RussellK] I didn't even know about that game

19:04:18 [FTL_Ian] Why has the FSP not partnered with Free Talk Live yet. Has there ever been a better offer on your table?

19:04:41 [FTL_Ian] I have had a few inquiries from the board, then silence

19:04:49 [FTL_Ian] Not even an objection

19:05:13 [JonM] I kinda have to side with Ian on that, if he's managed two stations so far, that's a lot better than established radio hosts have done trying to syndicate

19:05:14 [Rinku] maybe i could mke a civ 2 FSP scenario...

19:05:18 [jsorens] well, this is pretty much up to bob hull, the advertising director. my guess is that its just a matter of assessing the effectiveness of radio, the money in the budget, & so forth. but you definitely want to talk to bob for updates.

19:05:26 [Rinku] would be interesting to attempt

19:05:39 [katdillon] We do keep having sign ups from FTL

19:05:48 [FTL_Ian] I was under the delusion that the board made these decisions together.

19:05:49 [RussellK] cool rinku

19:05:53 [katdillon] Cool, Rinu!

19:06:13 [FTL_Ian] BobH is an exclusive decision maker when it comes to advertising?

19:06:24 [jsorens] nope! the circle tries not interfere in those decisions at all. the circle (or board) is strictly limited to general policy decisions.

19:06:34 [JonM] the leadership polyhedron!

19:06:39 [FTL_Ian] 4 stations

19:07:13 [jsorens] theoretically, the whole circle/board could overrule a director, but thats generally not good policy. if a director isnt doing a good job, that director needs to be replaced. better than micromanaging by committee

19:07:26 [JonM] terrestrial?

19:07:29 [FTL_Ian] Jason, can you email me his phone number to ian@freetalklive.com?

19:07:46 [jsorens] will do

Guess who lives in Grafton?
Ian's freind and freetowner Bob Hull.
Ian, how often do you call Bob in Grafton? Was that just a one time thing? I would think you would need to talk to your "partners" every once in a while. Who signs the checks?  :P

From the first article I posted:

Libertarians set sights on Grafton
Land purchase and Internet chat are the talk of the town

...

Bob Hull, another Free Towner from New Jersey, found something to love in Grafton. He recently bought 240 swampy acres on the east side of town and hopes to move in soon. He said he might sell some land to other Free Towners or develop it himself. Hull said he'll understand if his neighbors don't welcome him immediately.

"I guess a certain amount of xenophobia should be expected,"Hull said.

Ian must be really desperate to sell out for the couple of thousand dollars a year he gets from the FSP.

Yes, he lives in Buffalo because from the jobs he was seeking, that was the place that offered him the best job.  It is not very far from NH.  I'll be in Buffalo very soon, and the next day I'll be in NH.  He does not have to move to NH right away.  We are not even at 20,000 members yet.  Why would you expect him to move to NH today?  I cannot imagine what silly reason you will come up with this time.

Did you know that I'm in the military?  Did you know that I have a leadership position?  Did you know that another FSP member that lives within 2 miles of my place used to be in the military?  Did you know that a FTL host almost joined?  What does all of this mean?  Nothing.

Hello.  Welcome to Earth.

It was not a policy.  It was something that was talked about.  However, as of now, it has not happened.  I don't think it would be fair to those members to do it.  I said that then and I stand by that position.

You have to ask all of those people.  I tell you what, do something productive.  Email all of those people and ask them.  Then, post their answers here.  Thanks.

Yes, claiming 501 (c)3 was rather idiotic for a movement inspired solely upon a political party (Libertarian) for membership.

The majority of the people, as far as we can tell, are not Libertarians.  Also, the FSP is not a 501 c3.
