The reason not to use Paypal is they are a bad company. They're trying to enforce values on their users for instance they have stated that they will fine you 500 dollars for using their service for illegal activities or "questionable" activities such as gambling or pornography. I understand not allowing illegal sales as they don't want to end up in jail, but I'm not using any company that thinks it's alright to fine me for legal transactions.
From PayPal.com User Agreement:
2.7 Liability for Violations of the Acceptable Use Policy. If you engage in the following behavior, PayPal may fine you, as explained below.
1. Using the PayPal service to receive payments for any sexually oriented or obscene materials or services in violation of PayPals Mature Audiences Policy.
2. Using the PayPal service to receive payments for any narcotics, other controlled substances, steroids or prescription drugs in violation of PayPals Prescription Drugs and Devices Policy or the Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia Policy.
3. Using the PayPal service to receive payments for wagers, gambling debts or gambling winnings, regardless of the location or type of gambling activity.
Since you give them access to your accounts they can just snatch that money, there's nothing you can do about it since they aren't a bank and therefore aren't regulated except go to court, but part of the user agreement is you agree to arbritration in their home state (New York?), you can bet that's probrablly another moneyhole.
Also since PayPal isn't a bank if they screw up and "lose" your money there's not much you can do about it.
