Yes.  And it's because of all the special interests, homo legislation, gender bullshit, and political garbage.

Anarchists are misfits and ignorant fools who would rather believe a damned textbook over 200 years of struggling to keep this country afloat, and no form of anarchy could withstand that much sabotage and corruption, so why must they act as though they have found the "know-all be all" type of society?  Because they are not educated about how our republic truly functions.  They are told lies and given communist and socialist doctrines and told that it is more enlightening.  Hell, you can't even attend a college today without it being a communist training center.  Just you try and hold a constitution appreciation day and see how long it takes before you wind up in jail.

This country is being divided, and "Anarchists" are only part of the problem -NOT THE SOLUTION.  Their task is to help destroy this nation so that dictators and their armies can easily infiltrate and reorganize.  Even a child (who is educated) can see this.

When it is all said and done with, the Anarchists will blame the traditionalists, the communists will blame the evil capitalists, the socialists will blame everybody, the neo-cons and republicrats will blame the democrats and liberals, the liberals will blame the republicrats and their evil warmongering, the libertarians will claim that they can still save the world with a free market if only they had the chance, and those very few who still support the republic that has been divided up and thrown to the lions -will scream and yell for anybody to just LISTEN and to LEARN!  Because what is happening to us is nothing new, it is the oldest and most deadly move in the book...divide and conquer.

That's how it is in theory at least, but not in reality. I think that probably the whole 'republic of the people' thing is really just a cover for governent so decentralized that it ceases to be 'government' at all, at least in practice. Of course, you can't actually *say* that outright because most people can't handle it. Since then, the ignorant and/or power-hungry have actually taken this literally, resulting in this 'democracy' BS. This is of course just an idle theory, but it sounds at least somewhat plausable right? BTW, brokor you need to can the cusing it makes you sound like a total ignoramus (no offense).

My definition of 'statist' (and probably MobileDigit's too, but of course I can't speak for him) is "one who supports the state". This meaning is pretty obvious if you look at the etymology of the word.

Minarchists support the state. Therefore, minarchists are statists. Any questions?

Yes. For most libertarians, including myself, this problem is an issue of degree, not exclusively a boolean answer. It's kind of a "you must be this high to ride this ride" kind of scenario, ie, you must be past a certain threshold of state support to be considered a 'statist'. After all, libertarianism *is* about 'minarchy', not 'anarchy'
