Title: FreeStateNow.com
Post by: mikey on October 05, 2011, 12:06:41 AM
Just wondering how the http://FreeStateNow.com effort is going.
Haven't heard much about it lately, though I don't listen to every show.

Hopefully Mark or someone in the know can fill us in.

Also, had this idea about riding the coattails of Ron Paul's 2012 campaign:

I have a great idea to really kick Freestatenow.com into gear, but I am just too busy right now. You want the FSP finished? Encourage Ian to quit acting like an ass and do his job.

If Ian wasn't doing his thang in jail, my plat ampership would be normal as it has been for over 2 years and many others prior to that. Earth to the guy that is supposed to be handling my shit.!

I appreciate your support. I really do, but the folks that support Ian's stand on this issue, that want him to continue doing that kind of thing or whatever, simply did not put their money where there hearts are. AMP is down, it has been down for a while. His little trick cost him many many thousands of dollars, no affiliates were added and I have had a near nervous breakdown over this pointless act of civ dis.

I understand how frustrating it is when people, one rely on, show a tendency towards self destruction. One thing is for sure though, Ian has shown himself to be real. He walks the walk. I think this street cred will mean something for the future of FTL. Amp, ads and all that will increase simply because FTL is such a effective and legitimate real world hub of liberty communication. Had Ian never showed his willingness to follow his own bad advice this would look bad to libertarians who tend to value merit. Look at all the shit "Sovereign" Curtis is getting.

I simply meant that unlike Limbaugh, Ian is not a hypocrite, his audience knows he believes what he says. This is something I respect. I think many others who support things they like financially do as well.

Mark -- I am amazed how you go on with the show & life sometimes. Great job dealing with all that stress dude!
We need both of you there, hopefully you won't kill each other when the webcam is off. Leave that energy for the show. :)
And though I agree with Ian during "Ian and the fascist" segments, I can't know if every action of his is 100% effective. Perhaps he can't go back on the promise to live what he teaches?

But his "Keene is ready for political action" statement must be a welcome message for some.

Anyhow, I just pledged to donate here: http://www.pledgebank.com/freestatenow
I'm only worried about all those donated FRNs devaluing too quickly just sitting there..

Has some element been trying to tarnish your reputation for some reason?
If you would like we can go over to P.M. or a new thread. I am trying to stop highjacking threads more than a post or two.

Aaaand it's out of money!  Will turned in over 500 trifolds, which I guess means it works.  Mark has some serious fundraising to do.

Why, that is of course the normal time for a 420 celebration ... in Thailand.

On a more serious note -- has the FSP counter noticeably jumped by 500? Anyhow, that's huge.

I'd like to hear more, but I will understand if information is scarce due to the lack of time (on Mark's part).
Anyhow -- if there are updates on the effort, ongoing fund-raising, etc. available, please point me to the source as I may've missed it.
Shouldn't more people be excited about this?
The old pledgebank has expired.  :?

This is now officially a huge success. We have had hundreds of sign-ups in our beta test. They are all paid for and you can sponsor a signer for $16. That is the cost and I need people that care about the Free State Project reaching its goal to go and donate now. Give 'til it hurts :)! http://freestatenow.com/earn (http://freestatenow.com/earn)

I have money to pay, but will need more. Obviously, I do not have $16 for the 8000+ needed signers. But I do have a system that has been proven to work and at a monetary rate that is feasible. I thing we can get this done.
