I understand bandwidth isn't free. Theres a lot of downloadable stuff on ftl.com which when clicked plays through your media player.
When the NSFW topics were so vigorously debated, what was the big argument? Work, of course. Thats where a number of people said they listen to the show, myself included. Plenty of time to do so, but not a friendly environment to use a bit client. They get far more traffic from listeners streaming the show via the seven day list on a monthly basis than they would from the people who will hold their interest through all ten chapters of the book.
I would imagine most people who aren't hardcore would stream the first few chapters and lose interest, no offense. I think I saw someone say once they have a few TB of monthly traffic allotment. A few hundred MB isn't going to make a dent, especially after the initial frenzy is past, which is happening right now.
I think its cool that theres a HQ version circulating in torrent form. I'm just saying it should be more accessable to the less computer literate with a simple click. If they want people to hear it, simplicity is the key.
I'll have to go back later and scope out the main page, when I initially looked it was a redirect to somewhere else, maybe I overlooked a link. But it looked to me that there was no book hosted here, just the shows and promos.
I don't really understand what your problem is. The medium quality version
is downloadable directly. Why does someone need direct access to the high quality version specifically? If they want it, then they need to know how to get it.
The 6 day FTL archives, as well as the medium quality version of the book aren't inherently streams. If someone goes to get them, they will be downloading the entire thing first. There might be software you can use to stream them, but the average user doesn't have that.
