I just asked my wife, who is a librarian, about this and she said it is true that they are supposed to "cull" these books from the library, although almost no school libraries are doing so. Most would have to discard half of their collection to comply with this idiocy. She also said it is her understanding that you only run afoul of this regulation if the books are sold. Just more insanity from the people who are "protecting" our children. But hey, it's easier to revise history if you can get rid of the evidence! I can't say I'm one bit surprised at the irony of a government that "protects" children from a slight risk of miniscule lead exposure while they consider making 2 shots of a mercury-containing flu vaccine mandatory for the same children. Appearance of motion is all it takes to keep the sheep mesmerized a little longer while they slip out the door with the loot.
We'll just have to see if it gets to the level of punishing parents for allowing their children to read such "dangerous" books. Or will a child be disciplined, and the parents charged for a "toxic cleanup" if the child brings such a book to the government indoctrination center?
