I think chin-beard and Umbros are members of a band, and the other three goons are off-duty cops hired for security.

Yeah, I can just imagine five feet of Vermont snow building up on top of this thing, or a nice, strong ice storm. And, with no rain, everything has to be irrigated.

This idea has fail written all over it.

I already said what was weird. That the dude is grabbing him around the waist. Guys (at least the ones I know) don't usually do this. I bet you'd be hard pressed to find pics of guys holding each other around the waist in any large proportion. Typically guys will do a shoulder grab or stand with hands to the side.

As for it being bad, again, no one said anything about that. They can do whatever they want, and I can find it strange.

Sure you can.  I just wonder why you find it important enough to point out and make a thing of it.

For me it was a passing comment. Then I got caught up in your witch hunt.

And, with no rain, everything has to be irrigated.  This idea has fail written all over it.

The structure would of course have to be strong enough to withstand ice-storms, which is much easier for a dome because it's already very aerodynamic and can have strong sectional vibration tolerance.  Vibration would also automatically cause snow to cascade down the dome, as will rainwater, into pipes leading to a geothermal pit, which could actually lead to far more efficient use of rainwater in a 3-step process: for heating, then basic human needs, and finally irrigation.
