Essay On The Concept Of Left Libertarianism
« on: April 09, 2008, 07:12:49 PM »

Somebody showed me this article on the concept of left libertarianism. Have to say per usual with the left its preoccupied with economic equality, which I’ve always to believe to a misnomer being as due to the human condition economic equality is never going to be achievable.

The part on land ownership is a moderately good point, but only because of the lack of congruence today between legal 'ownership' and a moral theory of ownership.

The rest especially the, "you don't have a right to social conditions" stuff seems to be either irrelevant or bullshit.

Yeah I was reading it and shaking my head "Yeah yeah, I can dig this" until I got to that part and just started laughing at how I almost (not really) got convinced that taxes and redistribution of wealth are alright.
