Escape from Russia
« on: October 25, 2010, 10:05:44 AM »

Hi, everyone.
I'm gonna leave Russia next year. I can't live here anymore.
Why? I think the answer is here - http://russiaoffline.org
But I'm still not sure.
I've never being in the United States before.
Can anyone compare USA with Russia?

Is it? The site isn't posted anywhere else but here. But it's from Russia, who trusts things from Russia?

Did anyone in this thread visit the site? I did. Looks almost like a Russian version of Copwatch.

I wish the site wasnt so backwards. I gave up before I got to a real video.

I have never been to Russia but many of the complaints about Russia are happening here in the USA now.
The only Russian immigrant I knew of became horribly home sick and returned to Russia.

http://www.russiancarolina.net/en This site might answer some of your questions about being Russian in America.

Thanks a lot, Libertylover. I'm reading it now  :).

Unfortunately, there is no enough information at russiancarolina.net, it's all about something other :( Does anybody else have something to say?

You've some damn fine vodka.

Costa Rica might be a better option for you if youre looking for freedom. The US isnt that different from Russia at this point, but who knows whats in store in the near future.

I know a sweet old lady from Moldavia, one from Russia & one from Bosnia. They all would like to return home.

The USA is huge and differs greatly in culture and lifestyle from place to place. New Hampshire is where the liberty people are generally gathering at the moment, that would probably be your best bet if freedom is important to you.
I would look at some of the former Soviet block, if I were you. I think some governments in Eastern Europe are positive towards free markets.
The USA in general is not on a positive path, it is more and more a police state every day.
In my experience Russians and Americans are very similar in temperament and tend to be on the same page in a room full of Europeans, I believe do to the Parallel histories and being military equals for so long.
If you do look into visiting the USA keep in mind that like Russia, there is a big difference between rural and urban, many make the mistake of switching these if they move from one country to another.
