Oh, what about the Mexican mob?  They did blow up the informant's head.  And there hasn't been much back story on the Dad of Jessie's Girlfriend's dad.  Possibly he is in construction and has access to explosives.  In his grief over losing his only daughter he wants to take an eye for an eye and attack Walt's only daughter.  There are any number of possible stories to explain the explosion.

OK

That was an interesting season finale, but, Who in the world saw the ending coming?  I suspected something the second I saw Q as the the Air Traffic Controller...  that was one of the biggest switcheroo's I've seen in a while...  I mean, here we all are talking about the mexicans are coming after him, and stuff like that...

Some stuff that was predicted happened, especially with Jesse and Walt's wife, but we were all wrong about the forshadowing that happenned throughout the season.  Especially when Walt saw the whole thing go down...

Anyone care to comment on it?

I watched a few episodes of the first season but already had a lot of shows I was watching, but my GF really loves it so I've seen every episode of the current season (havent seen tonights yet) and I like it.

I like how at the beginning of the episodes it showed foreshadowing to the house having been (assumed) blown up and the debris placed in the pool. I guessed that one about 2 episodes in of the pool beginning and it signs point to it so far. Then with the mexican band beginning with them showing Heinsenburg facedown on the ground, excellent.

I know, but I do not think that the rug has been pulled from under me as much as tonight...  maybe the first time I heard Philip Emo's Cellar Joke, but tonight the whole pool explosion thing caught me off guard.

I kind of suspected it would involve the father of the girlfriend somehow.  Just didn't have a clue how it would go down.  They really didn't say that Skyler was taking a plane back to her Mothers or did I miss that part?  And where was Walt junior?  Did he miss the flight if Skyler was flying home to her mother's.   She might be ok it is just that Walt doesn't know and might go into a panic thinking that she did die with his daughter.  I wonder if Skyler is dead will it actually prolong Walt's drug making activities?  Cause Skyler was the only one that had a clue that Walt was up to something.

I dont think she was on the flight. I thought she drove but I suppose I could have missed it. I'll google it.

Read several reviews. Seems like the plane crash is just as it seems. Skylar is safe and will probably cause more drama down the line.

My cable company has all the old episodes available for free from On Demand. The fiancé is out of town, so I'm catching up from the beginning. This show is awesome, and I think it also is a pretty good critique of the drug war, in some ways. I mean, it shows how vile and gritty the drug underworld is, but it also shows how corrosive it is even on decent people who dabble around the edges, and especially the cops. Walt's brother in law is such a tool. Sorta decent, but still a tool. The hero is a freaking meth cook! You could not make this show even during the Clinton years. People really just don't care that drugs are illegal anymore. No one takes prohibition seriously anymore. Watching Intervention sometimes has a similar feel. They only use the fact that drugs are illegal as a means of threatening people with consequences, they never try to impugn their character or try and make them feel guilty about breaking the law.
