How about compared to Colorado?

There is a thread about that.  Although, it gets off-topic at some point.  Strange how that happens.

Hmm...LoveAndPeace seems to be "selling" NH, rather than giving square information.  He seems to substitute "most other states" in the "Colorado" spot of the comparison.

That, and the question on this BBS seemed to be about how "nice" it is.  I've yet to be anywhere nicer, including Cambridge, which was nice, for the east coast, but I hated the ice storms.

I should state, as I have before, I'm a signatory to the FSP, so it's not like I have an agenda here.  I'd love to have a great excuse to move to NH (my home here be damned) and a really liberal MJ law would be a benefit.  Of course, the latest news is pretty bad everywhere in the US--something to the effect that your gun rights will be taken away if they know you're a patient.  Apparently you have to give up one constitutional right to exercise another?  (At least, that's the way it falls here, since the patient's rights are in the constitution.)

FWIW, Medical Cannabis isn't exactly the strong point it used to be.  True, we still have constitutional support for it, but in many ways the bureaucrats here are pretending they can legislate around the constitutional protections...and since they're getting away with it, I guess they can.

It also seems apparent that the civil disobedience crowd fails to understand the psychology of participants and spectators to such events.  Civil disobedience is the wrong venue for persuasion.

That's a great point.  I've been working hard trying to help people in Keene understand about how useful activism works.

I created this thread http://forum.freekeene.com/index.php?topic=5499.0

Quote
I like to think that freedom is a message.  My job as an activism is to spread that message in a somewhat convincing way via pro-liberty media, one-on-one interactions, legislation or whatever other means I decide.  I need to know my audience and think of a way to get across the message of freedom in a way that will reach them positively.

And the whole thread is about how people think and how to do positive activism.  So far, no one has commented on it but it has 100s of views.

1) people come to join "the nonviolent evolution", which in their minds involves massive peaceful civil disobedience, lots of smoking pot at the police station, followed somehow magically by the fall of the State.
They or their friends do some jail time. They see very little actual change in the nature of wider, non-freestater society. These people burn out quickly.

Some of us are trying to help with this.

For example, I created this thread, Advice for those considering moving to the Keene area http://forum.freekeene.com/index.php?topic=5480.0 and Ian stickied it to the top of the Moving to Keene section of the Free Keene Forum

I also try to keep this thread Excellent point by point way to make real change for liberty in NH http://forum.freekeene.com/index.php?topic=4934.0 on the first page of the General section of the Free Keene Forum

Someone else wrote this blog post How to help political activists, without being a political activist http://freekeene.com/2011/10/13/how-to-help-political-activists-without-being-a-political-activist/ and Ian sticked it to the top of the Social Events, Volunteering, Other Activism & Discussion section of the Free Keene Forum

There's no way it wasn't her.

"Live Free Or Die" across the chest, Stars, arm tats. Same face, same kooky hair. No possible way it was someone else.

Too many identical tats to not be the same person.

I don't know. If you run across a video of a dude with a supply-and-demand tattoo jacking onto a portrait of Mises, it totally isn't me.

I guess there are strip clubs in NH, but this one is best avoided, http://www.unionleader.com/article/20111020/NEWS03/710209955
