Title: Cynthia, Dana, and Lauren
Post by: DogCow on August 01, 2008, 09:13:27 AM
Lauren:  What a cute face

Dana:  Wonderful picture.  I didn't know the Amish captured prisoners.

Cynthia:  What IS that tattoo on her right forearm.

I think Lindsey is perfectly happy dating a cop or Nazi so long as he's good looking and doesn't have chest or back hair.

Oh no, I agree.  I wasn't thinking about me.  I was actually looking at the shrine page and thinking of pictures I've seen of people on NHUnderground and stuff...

I also agree with error - it doesn't seem that a lot of libertarian men ARE that picky.  Which is scary.

There is no reason to be picky about looks when you can find someone that you can otherwise stand for 24 hours a day.

Sure there is.  If you're not attracted to someone, you're not really going to be able to have a romantic relationship with them.

I don't necessarily think you're unprincipled.  If I can live my life with someone I'm attracted to, that may not fully agree with my somewhat radical ideals, I'm fine.  I bet there are a lot of couples here where at least one half of the couple is not Libertarian/anarchist/whatever.

I cannot see how you could be in love with someone that supports locking you up for a victimless crime. Sorry. Maybe I'm broken in the head for not wanting to compromise because they look "gorgeous". I'll take my chances.

No one said anything about compromise because of looks.  You're right, looks aren't everything, but there are a lot of things that make up a good relationship.  Not just politics.

Your theory is a little flawed because you keep going to the most extreme end of the spectrum.  Most people are not extremists.  Not even the majority of Libertarians are extremists.  Two people are never going to agree completely on everything there is in the universe.  That's why we're all different.  You can't expect perfection, because if you do you will spend your whole life disappointed.

Besides, as Libertarians/Minarchists/Anarchists/Free-Marketeers/Assholes/Whatevers we don't have a very big pool of individuals to choose from, so the odds are already against us if we only think to look within certain boundaries.  Besides, not everyone is a born Libertarian.  Who's to say that your future spouse can't be convinced that the Libertarian philosophies are more logical than anything else?

Her perfect picture would be without the white dress leaving all the books to fill in where our imagination would have to take over.  But I think that the sexiest photos are let the the mind fill in the gaps.  Reality rarely lives up to what we can thing up in our minds.

Are you going to just start grunting for your next maneuver of retaliation?  Everyone looks for something different in a potential mate.  I don't think it's fair to cast aside others because they are not willing to date a caveman/woman simply because they follow some of the same political ideologies.  That suggests an imbalance of priorities.  If we all made our political pursuits the most important thing in our lives, we'd probably end up like Russell Kanning - rotting in jail for doing something stupid just because it's against a law that we disagree with.  Fuck that.

A Libertarian is a member of the LP.  Lindsey mentioned Libertarians.  You mentioned libertarians and how course that should answer your question.

That particular one is Venom, one of the original instigators of Black Metal. I have others that are more or less "stoic".
I agree with Lindsey about the physical, and the other guy(boner?) about the mental. He has to be Smart, Sexy, and Skilled. If you can't have it all, why settle for less?  If you're smart and strong(and, uh, busy, busy)  then being by yourself, on your own terms, is just dandy and what true freedom is all about.  An analogy is our five senses; What a blind person cannot see is compensated by his extra-sensitivity in the remaining senses, i.e. it's easy to overlook a small deficit in one's looks if their mind is spot-on, and vice versa. But, after a while, no matter how perfect your physical patina is, too much cluelessness just rubs it away into non-interest.

Wouldn't it be so cool if you went to the library and asked for help finding a book and Lauren happened to be your librarian and you get stuck in the stacks with her for a few hours talking about about Atlas Shrugged, Austrian economics, tattoos and 80's death metal.  And just then a strong breeze loosens her white summer dress...

Women really hate it when you forget their name.  And they get really angry when you call them the wrong name. Sometimes they get evil when you do that.  With a little creative spelling Love is Evol spelled backwards.
