Lake Mead looks like a lake on the fucking moon. Yeah there is water but it is surrounded by brown dirt hills.  Extremely ugly. You are from the South, correct? Trust me; you would be missing green in no time. It’s a fucking desert. It is brown, dead and ugly. The only people that like the terrain out here are the ones born and raised and don’t know any better.

i was fucking mystified , when i first set upon it, via rented boat....
i LOVED the fact that i saw, maybe, 4-5 other boats, THE ENTIRE FUCKING DAY, on the pristine aqua-blue water... i mean...i've NEVER seen fresh water this color....(yeah, the ''islands'' have it...jamaica, st. thomas, et al..) fucking turquoise water....salted, of course.
as we boated around, i fell instantly in love with the place.........
NO shit-built camps, or mcmansions, 10 feet apart, dotting the entire perimeter ( lake winnipesaukee, in my case, or ANY big-time lake in this country)
i LOVED the ''MOONSCAPE'' atmosphere, of a non-corrupted & over-commercialized lake...
