Claremont, New Hampshire
« on: December 15, 2010, 04:28:54 PM »

I'm looking at a job opening in Claremont. Any opinions of the area? I've never visited, but I probably will soon. What should I expect? What kind of town is it? What about the activism there?

I liked it.  It's not far from Keene.  City government is supposed to be among the less desireable in NH.  There's a diner with a waterfront view.

Housing costs are very low and you will find all of the basic shopping stuff there.  People go to north, east or south or more options.  It's a statist city so if you want to make a difference in local government, I recommend living in any of the near-by towns.
