BDSM and freedom?
« on: February 20, 2013, 10:03:17 PM »

While listening to the Feb 19th podcast of FTL there was talk of when one gives up his ownership of his self to a god or gods. It seems that a group refuses members that say they belong to god/gods and or hold beliefs contrary to non-aggression. Ok, no problem as such with that. But BDSM? I can't see how it could be a problem. BDSM is a form of sexual activity, not a religion. When's the last time you had someone knock at your door at 7 am and ask you to convert to BDSM? Religions ask you to relinquish your ownership. BDSM-ers freely relinquish their selves only to people their absolutely trust and only for a limited time. Here I'm excluding the extreems of BDSM I guess. So, isn't that comparing eggs with apples?
