Title: Any effective pro-liberty sites, or videos?
Post by: brokengun on November 21, 2005, 07:12:25 PM
I have a teacher who is really impressed with my veiws on polictics and Libertarian thinking. She is a Democrat (she thinks she is ;) ) and is curious about the libertarian party and what it is all about. I offered to show her an interveiw with Micheal badnarik but I would like to show he more than just an old interview. Does anyone have any good pro-liberty sites and/or videos for me to show to other people who are interested in the Libertarian party? I was thinking about putting a couple episodes of FTL on CD but that is a bit extreme for someone who just wants some general information on it and perhaps a quick eye opener to make them curious about liberty.

Thanks ahead of time.

Maybe put an espisode of FTL that you think would be appropiate (some older one).  But it's true that's probably not a good place to start.  Ask Ian.  When I asked him something like this a little while back he was extremely helpful.

I tried to find a link to that to post as my reply but wasn't able to find it. Glad someone else did :)

Try the Philosophy of Liberty (http://isil.org/resources/introduction.swf).

That is great stuff. I'll try to work it into my Modern Problems class.

Michael Badnariks' Constitution Class is great stuff, too although a bit boring at points.

I highly suggest Ooo-ing and Aww-ing your teacher with some terriffic conspiracy documentaries, too.  I provided a few already and they are linked on the forums here several times over.  Just do a search for "capitalist conspiracy", "G. Edward Griffin", "Nightmares", "BBC documentary", Ian's favorite pal "Alex Jones Documentary", and other such things...I am sure you can find something.

Philosophy of Liberty is good stuff, too.

I created this DVD a while ago, and then modified it with some Badnarik videos prior to the 2004 election.  It's mostly CATO videos on a variety of topics.

Ian, I wouldn't mind sending you a copy if you're interested.  Let me know.

This is not really libertarian but it is pro-freedom.  A recent video of 3 people burning their SS cards in NH.  It was done by a pro and looks nice.
