Good on you. I've got a class debate on drugs and marijuana (notably, that we should legalise/decriminalise marijuana) in two weeks time. Looking forward to it!

I have a modern problems class every day. Althought some topics don't relate to goverment, I still turn them into ones. It's fun, everyday it seems to be the whole class vs. me. I actually got the class to write a letter to our congressmen about removing the drinking age. Granted it wouldn't have as big of impact as legalizing drugs, it is a good step. I have untill the end of the semester to convert them. Our next topic is the penal system.

" Honestly, in the 8 hours of schooling, I learn maybe 2 hours worth." -maybe 1 hour, or even less.
" that's nothing for me to be worried about." ---after i read your post, i'm inclined to acquiesce, now.
"It was a win for the free market because the candy was shit. It was a bag of cheap gummi worms. Why the hell anyone would pay more than a dollar for it, I'll never understand. It seems, though, that sugar is a lucrative industry in the school environment. If I started selling candy in my classes, I could probably make at least keystone on it."you are an energetic character, i guess.

Let me correct myself - i found out on my daily walk, and had to laugh.. - not s c h o o l itself, as an institution is important. Maybe curriculum, discipline, and so forth would have been the more proper words for it. But, it seem as if you are gifted with the virtues to take care yourself. Congratulations!
With paternal  greetings

That's what they say about EVE Online, but look at me, a geek in computational physics.

I'm taking a class about zoning for my degree.  The funniest thing about that class is that the teacher agrees that zoning needs to be relaxed so that the private market can take over.  I say abolish it, but its a step in the right direction.  It's not all socialist crap at school.

In my Environmental Sciences class today, I was part of a fictional zoning committee, deciding how to zone a fictional plot of land. I added a new proposal to the ones not listed: Disband the committee and let the market decide how to use land.

Cool story!  Keep at it!   :)
