"I live... in a living hell"
« on: November 21, 2009, 06:46:20 AM »

I listened to the podcast of the Friday show, and when the topic of Guantanamo came up, Mark told Ian that he was "out of his mind" and that Mark felt he was living in a "living hell, talking to you [Ian]" and "talking to you [Ian] is like talking to a mad man". Ian was the reasonable party that tried to be logically consistent, Mark just used the statist rationales for killing foreign people and treated Ian in a very bad way. What Mark said came across as very rude and stupid. I share the same views as Ian, and I do not appreciate Mark calling someone with the same views as I "a mad man". Seriously Mark, get a grip.

That is the entire point of the shows dynamic, you realise this?
Haven't listened in a while, but this summer (when I listened a lot) Mark used to be much more civil.
Since Mark got his kid he's becoming more rude and more of a statist though. It's a sad development.

I'm just listening to the podcast and I really enjoyed that exchange, and I'm with Ian. The banter and argument between the hosts make it much more listenable though.

Well, from personal experience, I have not gotten a good night's sleep since my first kid was born near 7 years ago.

Lack of sleep is just plain deadly.

I'm listening to the 11/20 show now, and I agree that the back-and-forth betwixt the hosts is very much a part of the show.
