The Tamils don't favor any self determination for anyone. They just want a communist dictatorship imposed on the country, with their own warlords in charge.

So do all governments.  But the smaller / more local they are, the better.

That's why I support all popular secession movements, even when I don't like the people behind them.

I generally believe in nations splintered around cultural, lingual, and religious borders. Makes them more peaceful.
