More details about the party here:

This post inspired by Shaw's more general Porcfest poll. Guys get extra brownie points toward public perception of how secure they feel in their masculinity by admitting they're attending, but no pressure! Smile

Option 2 is for feeling out people who are averse to online/electronic transactions or PayPal in particular. This is a libertarian crowd, after all. We are looking into a Bitcoin option shortly.

Hmmm... I am not a fan of dancing, but Mr. Joy loves to dance.

Maybe I should buy tickets and take him, as a thank you for all hours he spends waiting for me to cross a finish line so he can hand me a hot/cold beverage.

Dale, would this be an appropriate party for wearing an outlandish costume?
I ask because I have a carmen miranda costume I made for halloween last year.  Had to remain totally sober and go home early for a race the next day, and missed out on the chance to dance in a ruffled blue and yellow skirt with fruit basket on my head...
...yes, I know it would be far better if my husband wore the costume and entered the drag contest, but there just isn't time to take in the bust and let out the waist before we leave for NH.

I'm buying tickets anyway, but was hoping for a legitimate reason to wear my one-use dress Smile

Dammit! Just checked the schedule. I thought it was a little later in the evening. I'll be off making rice krispy treats with the kids from 4-5. Guess I'll pack a vintage sundress and apron and my normal mommicky self.

That's too bad. I think the costume woulda been awesome for this party. You might even win a drag prize even if you're not cross-gender. At least, as one of the judges myself, I would not make cross-gender a reqt of the contest.

I'll try to make sure I have enough room to bring it. If I can't make it over to the party for an hour, I can always loan it to somebody of similar size. Shame for all that deep blue and bright yellow ruffles to sit in my closet gathering dust.
