I've gotta say, the protests are pretty lame. There was an anti-capitalism march that went by my condo (that's what I get for living on the site of the Haymarket riots) which had probably 100 people in attendance, total, shouting the tired "whose streets?..." line. If I hadn't looked up what they were actually marching about, I would never have known. There were NO signs of any kind aside from one communist/anarchist flag I saw.
The only excitement around here was the police arresting three people for "terrorism". The police claim that they were
manufacturing molotov cocktails in their apartment. The three (one is from Keene???) claim they were just homebrewing beer. One of the local news outlets also had a window broken, but that's about it. For all the hyperventilating on the part of the police and city officials, it's been a real dud so far. I half-suspect they're just trumping up these "terrorism" charges to justify the insane number of police they've deployed around the city.
