Robin should be on Intervention.

Probably not.

I'm not sure what you're suggesting "intervening" on her, but you should probably be straight-edge before suggesting it.

In observance of Ground Hog day, I ate seafood.

Bonus, I ran into my first girlfriend.  I use that term loosely, I was five, she was 30.  She used to call me her "boyfriend" when I was super little, and take me for rides in her snazzy little BMW 328i.  I liked her stockings and she always smelled awesome.

So, I guess I was a cougar killer from an early age.

Now, she wins "Woman of the Year" awards regularly, I always could pick 'em.  She looked pretty good.  She never married, I probably broke her heart.  I live vicariously by seeing her mentioned in the paper.

My girls met her respectfully, shook her hand and shit.  The younger one said "She's nice, but she's intimidating in that weird way that I didn't know how strongly to shake her hand."

I had to laugh at that, because she intuitively recognized an Alpha woman.  I told her to remember that feeling.

I didn't make any comparative statements, it was unnecessary.

I'm pretty sure they're mirrored times a hundred.

I'll bet they're harder to take down than the Pentagon, since they're private and all- and have way more users.

Whats that shit for redundancy - RAID.  I'll bet they're way redundant.

I know nothing.  But I'll bet they're not running a couple servers in one place, is all I'm really saying.

Day one - Buy

Day two - Sell

Day three - Short

Day 4 - Back to Newt/Mitt

Fuck that.  I want nothing to do with it.

Too speculative.  Might put a few hundred into it after the chart makes sense.

Why do their bright red ribs always suck?

I have never ONCE had good ribs in the bright-red candy sauce.

They gotta do something with that part of the cat.

Supposedly true story, as told to me by a co-worker from my past life..  I have no reason to disbelieve him.

He worked as a gas guy for Philly Gas, fixing broken water heaters and re-lighting blown-out pilots...

Former Marine, body builder, and despite what you may think, all-around good guy.  Loved Chinese food.

"I was once called into a Chinese restaurant, blown pilot - odor complaint.  The fucking guys would NOT leave, despite the fact they were demanded to.  So, fuck it.  I walk around the counter, carrying toolboxes and stuff, check readings.  The place is hot, but not explosive, so I don't get too excited.  Through the kitchen area, into the back, and theres this guy with raw chicken spread out all over the floor.  No cardboard, no nothing.  Just a fuckload of raw chicken, on the linoleum, and he's cutting parts off'n it.  Drumettes, wings, breasts, slices, slabs and parts, and he's duck-walking around plopping whatever he cuts, that goes into whatever specific pile.  I ask him if I can get through, he says "yeah, go ahead", and I tiptoe through trying not to step on some pile of parts.  He doesn't care.  Neither do I.  I just try to avoid falling on my ass, cause the floor is slippery with chicken slime.  I re-light the pilot, tiptoe back through, tell the front-guy everything is restored, and off to the next job"

Oddly enough, we ate Chinese food together all the time.  Often.  But when we would go pick it up, I could see him eyeballing the place.  He didn't like places where there was much room behind the scenes.  Only small places where everything happened in visibility of the cash register.

396  Free Talk Live / General / TPB's statement to the world.. on: February 03, 2012, 01:40:24 AM
Quote from:  The Pirate Bay
Year of the storm

2012 is the year of the storm.

The Pirate Bay will reach an age of 9 years. Experiencing raids, espionage and death threats, we're still here. We've been through hell and back and it has made us tougher than ever.

The people running the site has changed during the years. No sane human being would put up with this kind of pressure for 8 years in a row. An insane hobby that takes time from our families, our work (sorry boss) and our studies.

What binds us all together is a strong belief that what we do is good. That it is something we one day can tell our grandchildren about with pride. People from all over the world confirm this. We read testimonials from people in Syria longing for freedom, thanking us for what we provide. We receive more than 100 visits daily from North Korea and we sure know that they need it. If there's something that will bring peace to this world it is the understanding and appreciation of your fellow man. What better way to do that than with this vast library of culture?

With this said, we hear news from our old admins that they have received a verdict in Sweden. Our 3 friends and blood brothers have been sentenced to prison. This might sound worse than it is. Since no one of them no longer lives in Sweden, they won't go to jail. They are as free today as they were yesterday.

But what enrages us to our inner core is that the system, the empire, the governments, are still allowed to try to boss you and us around with one law crazier than the other. Do you think they will stop with SOPA/ACTA/PIPA? They will not. Because you won't stop sharing those files. Because we will not stay down. Because no one can turn back time. Together, we are the iron that hardens with each strike.

In this year of the storm, the winners will build windmills and the losers will raise shelters. So flex your muscles, fellow pirates, and give power to us all! Build more sites! More nets! More protocols! Scream louder than ever and take it to the next level!

Its amazing to me how many people have opinions on this matter considering everything they've heard about it is second hand.

Worse, ya'll are talking about this on an internet forum. What the hell?

What is second hand about living?

I'm pretty sure we all live.

Try living next door to me, we might get along, we might not.

Try bringing a permanent carnival into my town, and insisting [stuff].

I'm pretty sure you'll get harassed.

I'm pretty sure I'd sit on the sidelines, but favor the locals opinions whom I've known forever as their property values plummet and the cops expand exponentially.

I'm pretty sure I'd be pissed about the cop part.

It has nothing to do with affordability, I'm talking about those outside your four narrow constructs.

You know free staters did exist in the Free State before the FSP.

There was a reason the majority voted for New Hampshire.
Or, people who were born here.

Or, people who moved before the FSP made New Hampshire the official location.

To "afford" is not necessarily a financial term.

When people can afford something, it is within their realm of possibilities.  It simply means they can choose to do that, or believe that.  They have the means.

I can afford to respond, but it costs me nothing.

I can afford myself the guilty pleasure of participation.

I can afford the time required, as I have an abundance.

I can afford to gain some weight, it wouldn't hurt me to gain a few pounds, and I might benefit from it.

I can afford to learn a new language - and the way things are, I can't afford not to.

--

Understand one thing, you didn't get snookered by a word trap.  But not everybody thinks in terms of money.

Personally, I can't afford it in terms of mental shenanigans.  I can't afford to abandon my family, and I can't afford the stress of playing the "lottery", meeting people I probably wouldn't enjoy on a 100:1 basis.  I need to tilt the odds in my favor to the exact opposite, where I'm most likely to encounter people that are way up my alley.

I won't make a post ripping ass on FSP participants, because a lot of them ARE cool.

I'd just rather live my life inconspicuously elsewhere.

There is no way you can not say that Free State project members are not INTERLOPERS.

By every definition of the word you are.

It is okay, just embrace it.

See above.

But as you said, some were born there - so by definition, you're incorrect.
