The Show / UPDATE: Ian Unused Sounds Added
« on: July 25, 2013, 07:58:21 PM »
Updated with a Youtube link to sounds that did not make it to the final product. Warning: I recorded *a lot* of sounds before realizing I didn't need as much for a decent soundboard.

With exception to the first sound and the last sound, I placed them in *random* order.

Ian's guest appearance on Flaming Freedom. It's right at the beginning of the episode.

I applaud your ability to improvise. When I built this thing, I tried not the think too hard about what people might do with this, and bestiality was not something I was thinking about. Funny stuff!

If I told you I didn't listen to the episode more than twice, I'd be a big-time liar!

The Show / UPDATE: Check Original Post
« on: July 22, 2013, 12:02:22 AM »
Updated the first post so that everything is linked to in there.

I just added a link to the "bonus content", i.e. unused sounds that did not make it to the Mark Edge Soundboard. The Ian Freeman bonus content will be posted on 7/25. Teaser: Ian confirms his Christian faith and shares his thoughts on black people.

The Show / cvramen's Free Talk Live Soundboard!

Yes, it's exactly what it sounds like, Free Talk Live soundboards!

I started on this in 2008, put it down for a long time, then decided to finish it a few weeks ago. Had I started this project later, I think I might have picked other co-hosts (e.g. Darryl is freaking funny!), but anyway, this is what I had. I built it in HTML (not Flash) for maximum adaptability and personal preference. Works in Firefox, Chrome, and Opera.

Stay tuned! There are two soundboards. I will be posting a second soundboard (Mark) here next week!
EDIT: Updated this post with links to both soundboards and collection of unused sounds; I inadvertently collected a lot of sounds before I decided what I would put in the soundboards.

The Show / Free State Project Infomercial?
« on: July 07, 2013, 04:52:33 PM »
I, along with many other listeners, am thankful for FTL and its role in providing me with information that I used to make a decision when I was undecided on the idea of signing up for the Free State Project.

Can anyone think off the top of their head of a specific episode that one might show to a friend that's a good "advertisement" for the FSP? I've been looking for a really great, fun, informative episode that speaks positively to the FSP and wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions.

LOL, Mark said "Big good". Bitfoot, Bigcoin, etc.

he slips in a reaffirmation FTL's motto of calling in about anything. However, the damage is done by now. The caller's credibility is in question because he dares to mention chemtrails.

What is it Ian? FTL?
I think that Ian just wants his show to not be a boring piece of crap that about 9 people in the world want to listen to.
Imagine some alternate reality where, 10 years ago, Ian decided that FTL should have no regard for whether each call was entertaining, informative, or relevant. That would've been a disaster.

Quote
Read those 4 stories and answer these questions:

1. Are the stories legitimate?
2. Do they describe chemtrailing?

If you answered these with "yes" then:

3. Why do you continue to pursue the "conspiracy theory" vendetta?

If you answered the first 2 questions with "no" then you're full of it and you're dismissed.

Edit: Emperor is the correct spelling, of course.
I don't think that all of us (and especially the people directly involved in keeping FTL functioning) have the time to be research staff.

General / Re: Cops are the new Ron Paul
« on: December 11, 2012, 12:41:23 AM »
Yeah, sometimes I imagine myself going back in time 15 years and try to explain to the libertarian movement what the new libertarian movement is like. Filming gov't employees, holding cops personally accountable, this *new* liberty movement is all kinds cool!

I remember a video of yours that was titled "Ron Paul sympathizer gets 90 days for sitting down too slow" or something like that and of course it had basically nothing to do with Ron Paul, but of course I'm looking at the title thinking, "I see what you did there!". I am glad that the new word is "cop" instead of "Ron Paul"; it shows that the movement is evolving and *not* tied to one person.

If I wanted to leave the US, I think I would be reading this person's stuff first. Seems like he really knows what he's doing and is really happy.

That being said, I think that achieving freedom is a long-term issue and it's going to happen over the course of many years. It's going to require that people be open about their rejection of statism. I'm not going to say that leaving to another country doesn't in some way make the world a better place (I honestly don't know), but it seems to me, that long-term, getting people together, concentrated, who can provide moral support to one another (like the FSP) who are open about their point-of-view is better for achieving freedom.
