The Show / Re: BITCOINS! BITCOINS!!! BITCOINS!!!!!!!!!
« on: December 02, 2012, 12:17:30 AM »
They make money with the ads. That's why we get to hear the show for free. If you don't want to hear about bitcoins, buy some ad time on the show and play somethings else.

I hate it when the conspiracy people call. It's a waste of my time.

Here's the fact on all conspiracies.

If a large organization was running everything and had the power to blow-up the world trade center or to add mind altering drugs to jet gasoline or to be lizard people living amongst us or to do some of these other conspiracies that would require hundreds of minions, is it not safe to assume that they would also have the power to take down a website?

Take the spare change boys. Those three guys would have been picked up, black-hooded and dumped in the ocean with cement shoes within days of releasing their video. Their website would have been taken down. Everything they owned gathered up and destroyed. Nothing would have remained of them. It all would have been done under the tag national security and not a single news agency would have reported it. You would not even know that they existed.

Since they are still running around, it is safe to assume that they have not exposed anything. No power feels threatened because it is all cherry-picked nonsense that's been debunked all over the internet.

The same with the chem trail people. They are still running around unharmed.

The truth is that these conspiracy sites are running a business and making money off these ideas. That's what they do. Like religious organizations making money off selling heaven and hell, these guys make money off of exposing the master plan.

They do it because there is profit in doing it.

Americans are so undereducated and have such a lack of critical thinking power, it is easy to sell these bs ideas to US people on a massive scan. We believe practically anything we hear.

My suggestion to the conspiracy nut jobs that keep calling the show and making the show laughable and second-rate is, buy the book "Irrationality" by Stuart Sutherland and learn some basic thinking concepts. Learn how to think. Then call about something serious like the drug war, drones, the patriot act, police brutality, prisons, torture, corruption, etc... We don't need fantasy, unprovable evils to worry about. There's tons of evil stuff going on that we can prove are happening.

Stop wasting our time!

So true. If Jesus existed, he looked like all these brown people that the US is bombing and droning to death.

Since I don't want to get my posts deleted for being off topic, I just watched the Fellowship of the Rings again. That's such an amazing movie, even though I had to invest 3 1/2 hours of my time. I'll be squeezing in the other two before the 14th when the Hobbit is released.

Mel Gibson is a racist religious lunatic. I can't watch his movies anymore because I can only see him as Mel Gibson and not one of the cool characters he plays. Too bad. I used to like his movies.

The last movie I saw was Cloud Atlas.

Great movie, but I suggest reading the book first.

I also saw the SciFi movie: Love.

I like this one a lot too. The Obama "O" with a different message.

Mitt the Mormon would not have been so gay friendly. The Mormon Church is homophobic. We'd have gay marriage in California if the Mormon Church would not have financed the campaign against it.

What we need is for people to cast off the yoke of god and for people to take control of their own lives as free men and women. We don't need the bullshit religious texts of a bunch of barbarians directing our lives for us anymore.

Reverence for what? People? Life? The Only truly magnificent are all the things created out of random explosions (stars, nebulas, planets).

If people were designed, it was the pathetic attempted of your drunk-ass wino god. The only reason why people think things are designed well is because they are uneducated, anti-science, dumb fucks. As soon as a person opens their eyes (learning how to read books is a good start), they start to see all the things in the world that would work better if designed properly. We come from chaos, not a creator with a well-thought out blueprint.

The headline read:

Is Obama Or Romney Better For China? A View From Beijing

I think it might be my favorite one so far:

Since Obama is on the shirt, I guess it would be classified as an Obama shirt.

I'd change the text to:

99 Problems, but Mitt ain't WON.

That's okay though. Mitt got to join the losers club with Dukakis, Gore, Kerry, Dole and McCain. He's in good company.

This is what Americans are going to say in about 10 years.

I think this was done by the Urban Outfitters.

General / Re: Juicing?
« on: May 30, 2012, 04:02:45 PM »
That is a great documentary. Juicing is great for short periods of time (if your healthy). If you are a fast food/box food junkie, you might try doing a few weeks of juicing to detox yourself a little. If you want to get healthy, however, you don't have to go totally 100% juice. Try 50% or 70% and then eat the remaining portion as raw food. Raw Food -- Real Food -- is so much more tasty than any of the sugary/salty boxed-food that can be purchased from a supermarkets. Once you get started, you can become obsessed on all the insanely delicious foods that you can eat (and make). I could make some food for you that would blow your mind. Cheese Cake, anyone (made from cashews, dates and lemon)? How about chocolate mint ice cream (made out of avocados, peppermint and bitter-sweet chocolate)? Once you go raw, you'll see what's behind the curtain in OZ. The food industry and the medical industry like sick people. Sick people are also less likely to protest too so the government loves it too. How can you protest if you are bed-ridden?

If we switched to growing our own food or buying it from local farms, many of the problems of this country would be solved.

Total, with post, and concrete bags - $400 minimum.

I'd probably opt for a post office box.  Just stop there once a week, pick up your shit.  Its not like anything good ever comes in the mail anyways.  Everything I care about comes UPS, or FedEx.

--

You see the new USPS commercials?  Direct Mail for companies.  No wonder they're about to go under.

They're pushing junk mail.  Like, they never heard of Google.  Splatter a geographic area with the most un-green shit ever, no matter if they want it or not!

Its like they never heard of eyeball views or clicks, or anything.

We will personally send a living person to your house, with a paper card, which they will throw away, and the guy earns fifty grand a year, drives a carbon-burning truck, and gives an ecologically damaging piece of garbage to an unwanting recipient!

Un-fucking-believable.

Every other company on earth is pushing green and paperless.  These dill-holes are trying to get people to buy a carbon footprint the size of Jupiter, to keep their jackass slackers employed so they can sleep half the day in Burger King parking lots.

You buy that post..  I won't say any negative shit, but I'll surely think some negative shit.

As a business owner who ships out products to people all across the country, I would rather use USPS more than FedEx and UPS.

I have had problems with both UPS and FedEx demanding to know the contents of my shipments. I don't need the businesses that I work with to be my government. I want them to ship my package and shut up. The USPS never questions what I send. Furthermore, if you use USPS, the State governments need a federal warrant to open a package. Since USPS is Federal, it gives a person more freedom if the product they are selling is less than legal in their state.

Interstate mail is one of the areas that is best to leave in Federal control rather than State control. For business owners working in fringe areas, it is safer. I have experienced this for over 8 years of business. The USPS is more private and costs less. As a business owner, that's what I need.

The USPS is the only government service in the US that is required to pay for itself. Therefore, it has always operated in the black (until 2006). In 2006, it was required by Congress that the USPS pay for 75 years of future retirement benefits in a 10 year period. The law that requires the USPS to pay for the retirement benefits of employees that have not yet been born is the cause of 100% of the US postal service's $20 billion in losses over the last four years.

Basically, the USPS was working fine for over 200 years. Then private companies got their paid politicians representatives to write a law to bankrupt the agency, so that they can privatize it. With the loss of the USPS, State governments can then go through the privately mailed packages without a Federal warrant.

There's a nice interview with the director of the New York Metro Area Postal Union at DemocracyNow.org that describes the issue:

http://www.democracynow.org/2011/9/27/shock_doctrine_at_us_postal_service

The main difference between the USPS and other agencies is that the USPS has to pay for itself. I know that I already said this, but it is an important point. The USPS pays for itself. If the DMV had to pay for itself and there were competitors to the DMV, that office would function much more smoothly. Letting the politicians destroy the USPS through laws requiring them to pay for 75 years worth of retirement benefits in a 10 year period would put just about any business in the red. It is bad politics and bad policy to let the corporations determine which services that we have.

I say, stop destroying the USPS with corporate sponsored regulations and let the free market decide if the USPS should exist. The USPS has done well with its business model for over 200 years. Small business owners like me prefer the low-cost service. Businesses need as much competition as possible in this area. When it is time for the USPS to fade, the free market will let it happen.

We don't need fake regulations to wipe the USPS out for us.

Let the free market decide if the agency should exist.

90% + fucking morons.

M'irite or what?

I suggest that you read some books on self-esteem. Generally, a person who accuses another person of being a moron does so because they have low self-esteem. This tendency is fairly well-documented. The same goes for the terms stupid, jerk, idiot, etc... If you say them, you really are talking about yourself.

As a Free Talk Live moderator, you have to be a little bit smarter than the average person. Spreading hate makes you look less than honorable. Calling somebody you've never met a "moron" definitely falls outside the spectrum of being peaceful. Spreading hate against an entire class of people (the Occupiers) is not much different than spreading hate against a religion, a race or a sexual orientation.

My wife doesn't use birth control and she probably should. She has irregular periods due to some other genetic health issues. At the same time this Limbaugh controversy was happening, I had to take her to the hospital. After 22 hours of ER service, they discovered the ruptured ovarian cyst. We got the bill a few days ago: $22,784. It is so over the top, I am still shocked. It cost over $500 to have a nurse inject her with one syringe of pain medicine. It probably took two minutes to administer the drug. Her wage was approximately $15,000 per hour! If I would have be given the option, I could have brought a nurse with me and saved a ton of cash.  She had almost a dozen injections. Contraception would have prevented this medical disaster from happening. Too bad she does not like how the pill her feel. She doesn't plan to start taking it anytime soon. I feel really sorry for the women who have no choice and HAVE to take the pill. It's a damn difficult decision.

As for Limbaugh, he should have told the truth instead of making it sound like she wanted people to pay for her sex habit. It's the age of YouTube. The truth will come out. The marketplace took care of his dishonesty. Maybe he'll get the message and not twist things around next time. The marketplace is wonderful way of correcting this type of thing. That is the beauty of the system.
