I realized after speaking to some Romney and Giuiliani supporters on Tuesday that after becoming utterly disgusted with the lot of Republican candidates (with an exception), I've stopped following most of their shenanigans. The trouble with this is that when I talk to someone who supports Romney for instance, I can't provide bullet point reasons as to why they shouldn't like the guy. I'm looking for the best few points of dirt on the big name Republican candidates. What's the best ya got?

They're politicians, the burden of proof works the other way in this case. Smile

How about this for Giuliani?

Quote
On Friday, a New York Times story examined Rudy Giuliani's schedule in the months after 9/11 to verify his controversial claim that, like rescue workers, he'd spent long hours at ground zero, and so was "in that sense ... one of them." In fact, the Times found, he only spent 29 hours at the terror site between Sept. 17 and Dec. 16.

What was he doing instead? Giuliani's beloved New York Yankees made it to the World Series in 2001. We decided to compare the time he spent on baseball to the time he spent at the ruins of the World Trade Center.

The results were, considering the mayor's long-standing devotion to the Bronx Bombers, unsurprising. By our count, Giuliani spent about 58 hours at Yankees games or flying to them in the 40 days between Sept. 25 and Nov. 4, roughly twice as long as he spent at ground zero in the 90 days between Sept. 17 and Dec. 16. By his own standard, Giuliani was one of the Yankees more than he was one of the rescue workers.

How about the fact that he milks 9/11 like there's no tomorrow to make himself look like the Anti-Terrorist Crusader?

How about the fact that he laughed  during one of the debates while Ron Paul was trying to give his answer?

How about the fact that he shut down strips clubs and porn shops and prosecuted prostitutes while "cleaning up" New York City, and tries to censor art that offends him?  http://www.salon.com/ent/feature/1999/10/02/dung/

As for Romney, how about the fact that he wants to "double Guantanamo"?

These guys are not just politicians on whose positions reasonable people may agree or disagree.  They're truly scumbags.

Giuliani is a liar....he uses 9/11 like a clown uses stilts...which would be bad enough on it's own...the only problem is, he fucked 9/11 up royally. You know how everybody thought he was a fucking hotshot because he was roaming around in the streets with a mask on looking like he was doing something??? Well, he was doing something...he was trying to keep his head on straight because he didn't have anywhere to go with his team to manage this huge taskforce of people trying to keep some order. Unfortunately, and against the advice of all the people he was supposed to listen to, he decided to have his Emergency Command Center inside one of the WTC buildings....across the street from his office. It's the biggest boneheaded move of his life that just happen to make him look like a hero. Do you know WHY he put the Emergency Command Center in a building within walking distance of his own office, inside a high profile building that had been bombed in the past?? Because it enabled him to throw a sweet deal together with the landlord of that building...yeah, so, basically, money.

Aside from that, the guy is a scumbag in general. Ask his ex wife, ask his old crew from when he was Mayor, shit, ask the people of NYC!! Before this 9/11 shit, he was hated in NYC. Ask anyone who knows the man personally. A lot of the people who used to somewhat like him hate him now, now that he is running for Prez, he has asked all of his "friends" to lie about he met his wife and lots of other things...it's just gross. He's a creep and liar, he's not good at managing anybody, he knows jackshit about how to run a  city, forget about a country....liar, creep, goon....I mean, he just sucks. He is honestly the most special of all the douchebags running. He really takes the cake for the lies he tells alone.

Romney is a slick talking scumbag. He is, indeed, Captain Douchebag. The guy is slimier than a whore walkin home for the night and smells just as bad. He was NOT a good Gov. in Mass, and he honestly believes that "JUST SAY NO" will work if we throw more gov't (tax payer) funding behind it. He believes Marijuana to be a gateway drug and loses points just for being stupid. The guy is a "morals" pushing, false hero worshipping, big government dick sucker.

http://www.ontheissues.org/default.htm

If you click on the "Issues" tab at the top of the site's page, you can choose the issues that are the biggest deal for you (or whomever you're talking to) and get a quick look at each candidate's votes and stances on the issue.

Alternatively, you could just go to each candidate's page on the site and pick out the most unacceptable votes per candidate.

That's not dirt, man. Dig deeper.

Giuliani is a transvestite.

Romney wears Mormon underwear.

According to this democratic rag article Guliani of course milks the 9/11 thing to the hilt.  The deputy fire chief said this:
Quote
"He is such a liar, because the only time he was down there was for photo ops with celebrities, with politicians, with diplomats," said deputy fire chief Jimmy Riches, who spent months digging for his firefighter son. "On 9/11 all he did was run. He got that soot on him, and I don't think he's taken a shower since."

But worst of all.. he has the exact same smirk as the characters in that Christmas cartoon...
Even a miracle needs a haaaaaaaaaaaannd!

We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force.

Yeah, there is...dalebert.  He'd probably do a good job of it too.  I think he posted a thread asking for suggestions about four months ago.

These are the two main reasons why I would vote for Hillary, if Ron Paul is not the Republican nominee, and I actually believed in voting.

Giulliani is nothing but a thug, sending SWAT teams after innocent people just to create media attention for himself: http://www.lewrockwell.com/roberts/roberts208.html

Romney is the guy responsible for the new socialist health care program in MA, which he will surely try to inflict on us all.
