Voting up/down show prep not working

I'm using FireFox 17.0.1 (latest version) on Mac OS X 10.8.2.
I am unable to vote up or down stories on show prep while logged in.  When I press the + or -, the box showing the number of votes goes dim and stays dim.  While it is dim, I am unable to vote up/down any other stories.  I think it's supposed to go dim for a second or two while it processes, then the vote total would go up/down accordingly.  This is how it used to behave weeks ago or months ago, but now it seems to be stuck.

I also tried doing it using Safari 6.0.2 on the same computer.  I was able to vote up 3 stories, but it froze again on the 4th with the same behavior. 

I noticed this a few weeks ago but I don't remember reporting it.  I guess I finally got off my lazy butt and am doing so now.  If voting were easier and worked, I would definitely be more inclined to visit the site daily and vote on stories.
