While browsing through the General Problems section, I came across a post by someone who had accidentally entered their email address into the name field when they signed up for their account.  And at that point remembered from back when I first signed up roughtly 2 years ago, that I "accidentally", meaning basicly did so and then realized it was stupid, niave, not quite aproapriet for the site used my real name instead of my handle.  And vaguely remember trying to change it, and then trying to delete my account and running into the same problem the other poster did -- no apparant way of doing either.  Now, in the face of a recent and ongoing fiasco in the chatroom, at least at this point related to my handle ("NaziHunter") (this started before any awareness or knowlege of my handle, which isn't a valid excuse anyway, most powerfully because a [Moderator] specifily gave me permission to use it), and straight out made-up claims that I was "trolling", I spurred by the post I saw tried getting my real name out of the view of the dishonorable nutcases, the company they keep and god only knows who/what else...  But ran into basicly an access denied message when I tried the solution offered the other poster in the General Problems section. 

I haven't truely 100% given up on FreeTalk Live at least yet, so I do want to change my "Name everyone sees", optimally to NaziHunter, but if thats not possible I want to delete my account.  (Not try to log on and find it deleted.  Either a menu option, or a chance to replay to an email asking me if I want my account deleted, so I can do so with a yes).

I don't want my good name out there like that anymore than you people would want your name visible to a low-income person (pick your own analogy, but you get the idea). HELP!

Click the profile button near the top of the page. Click "Account Related Settings". Change the name people see.

Don't know of any mods who are willing to delete accounts anymore.

...Okay Dalebert, I'll play along afew.  I think maybe an unsavory person or persons or and unsavory operation may have set my account on restricted in some way, and that's what causes me to get a "you do not have access to this page" message when I try the solution offered the other poster, and don't see a Profile option.  But they say the world is made of gumdrops and stuff like that and there ARE no unsavory people, just people that haven't had a good hug lately!  So...  When I looked for the Profile option, I couldn't find it.  I looked near the top of the page, in the middle... And I'm usually good with this sort of think too.  Can someone give me step by step instruction from the time I login, or maybe get me a screen
I'm serious.  I want my name out of public view on this system.  First choice my Name People See setting be "NaziHunter", second choice some other handle for places too uptight, touchy or WHATEVER for NaziHunter (which I will provide, no suggestions please).  Or I want my account completely deleted.

Now, will someone from the pool of FTL staff or volunteer mods, and/or maybe even other FTL listeners and website users hand this up to someone within FreeTalkLive's organization that can and will help me!?  Read this forum from the beginning and put yourself in my shoes.  Baring in mind the whole thing with being fraudulently convicted of trolling (basicly online disruptiveness and/or harrassment.  Elevated to a science by the people who coined the term in preparation to fuck up the 21 century, now mostly spread by osmosis), put yourself in my shoes, and do from whatever position you are in, what I would do for you.  What Free Talk Live is doing to me is wrong.  TRADITIONALLY GOVERNMENT GRADE WRONG.  As far as the "trolling" thing goes, its not like there isn't a tape, or that reviewing or even just pasting excepts from them into a chat for the purpose of quoting someone isn't a well known capabilty and pactice amungs the chat mods (called Ops and Half-ops here)  And in the chatroom in question in
general.  OR LIKE THERE ISN'T STILL A TAPE.  As you decide from whichever position what, if anything to do keep in mind the word scofftape.

Wow!  Got to be brief for the moment.  I was unexpectedly done right by,  and even though pressed for time wanted to acknowledge that.  As of now, my handle is displayed in place of my name,  strikingly almost as though in 3D.  And it looks like if I choose I can delete my account.  This is truely unusual (the future so far yes is turning out THAT bad.  Report from outside the bubble). Being in the right generally hasn't helped my case much lately.  Not like it use to years ago.  THANK YOU!!

After last night's nothing short of marginally straight out impressive 18-minute response time to my plight, I figure this at least *might* work... The conditions are about the same (the shows on, I'm in the right, ...) Could someone check the chatroom chatlog ("the tape") for the presence of SafetyHawk, and blind activity against.  Will check on this at about 9:50 to see where its gone.  It is 9:23 now, for those of you following easily at home after the fact.

I don't know about the rest of the jibberjabber, but Mods don't adjust people's accounts when the person is able to access the necessary settings.. 

The reason we don't delete accounts is because you can simply stop using it. 

Another reason is because people routinely try to get mods to do things for them, which is loosely within the realm of passive-aggressive mentality disorder.    And that shit gets old quick.

If you legitimately have issues, can't figure out something - just ask.

Well...  Hmm... In essence that's basicly what I've been trying to do, get a chat moderator (in the chatroom) to join me in the help channel or in private chat, have them find out by checking that I'm approved to use the handle NaziHunter, and then while not being a bother to anyone (remaining in a chatroom by myself in case of miss-type) register my nickname, and then although not quite part of the plan; I was planning on getting the technical specifics I need from the command language manual, possibly ask for Op or Half-op help... But, as bared out in "the tape" whenever I appear on this system and am recognized as me by any of several person or persons -- without using the questioned handle, they immediately react by blocking whatever IP address I'm using.  I HAVE NEVER ONCE IN THIS CONTEXT DONE ANYTHING QUESTIONABLE MUCH LESS WRONG.  And in most cases never even have a chance to say anything...
I get relegated to going to the help channel, setting to help topic to reflect or explain why I'm there, and waiting awhile...  Has never once gotten an appropriate response or acknowledgement.  

It's interesting your conclusion is I have or probably have "passive aggressive mentality disorder"...  The article linked to at least at its surface level is frankly alittle scary comming out of Free Talk Live of all places.  Isn't that one of the one thousand "disorders" they had a goal of inventing pills and/or shots for by the year 2000?  The good news is one, you don't have to power to commit so this isn't a life or deathish emergency.  And two, all it takes is the truth.  Truthfulness, and the truth.  Aka beauty, God's ora, Devine truth...  And fortunately just a tiny amount of effort.  Off-the-cuff reactions, presumptions of the usual case, accumulated "well if he's banned he musta done *somethin*", the even worse "he's obviously got somekind of mental problem", and fairness and truthful, beautiful realities, and ultimately even bearable realities don't mix that well.  Not quite matter and antimatter, but close.

...So this is the next logical thing to try.  I'm asking here.  Advise.

Guess what.  I just now afew minutes ago connected to the website from a second device while still logged in on the first, and you know what I saw?  You know what I saw dont you...  On the main page, on the bar on the left-hand side -- in the "Whos online" section almost as thought snickering the word "SUCKER!", my real name.  Still there in public view.  And now -- and now, something of a laughingstock.  I want you, Free Talk Live to proverbially look me in the eye and answer the following question:  Why wasn't my false impression, which was not me just spontaneously assuming, that I had been done right by not corrected?  By anyone at Free Talk Live.  Other website users excused.  I ADKED YOU A QUESTION SATAN!!!

You wanna talk about something that gets old! Having to as you go through life, time and time again having to pull many of the people and places in your life up closer to your moral and/or ethical level or otherwise suffer varying degrees of a kind of low-intensity purgatory... that-- THAT gets old!!! So, as I touched on in another forum, pay alittle more attention to this please. It's important. If you're going to half-ass it due to not caring enough to be reasonably attentive then its better you just leave it for someone else and not touch or talk to it at all. Thats true for all of you. There wasn't that much material to catch up on prior to your reply, what you should have done before posting a reply is obvious and a very good example of, on the individual level, how easy it is in many case to PAY ENOUGH ATTENTION.

Now, getting to the question I asked "Satan". The transition was noticed by me along with the "WTF is a scoftape" post. You read this forum up to the point where you replied and tell me that isn't sorry on Free Talk Live's part. Does Free Talk Live have any intention of honoring the "promise" in your at the time apparent reaction? Or even saying anything at all to me on the matter? Or was the plan for me to get so disgusted I using an option that appeared at the same time my Author$ name changed to NaziHunter, that I delete my account, not remembering, never knowing in the first place, or not caring that both me, and all this truthful complaint and critisming would be deleted from your reality and public view? I still want my real name completely out of public view on this system. I do not want my good name out there like that anymore than you want it publicly visible that you are hypocrites. Mine at least is a good name, being associated with trying to save the future-turned-present and the future isn't shameful. You have me by the name... But I don't give. No, I didn't miss something; I know that that future saving says NaziHunter at the top... How receptive or curious about reasonably well worded, respectful, concise, reports to them that creeping repression is everywhere, and that maybe they should check for things being intentionally hidden from them by some of there underlings, as part of there radio show?  Some of you people don't work for them, aren't even inturns and would be stripped if your precious powers and power almost right from their palmtops wouldn't.  The other two categories not in a 100% truth-proof position either... In most cases.  ...I in your shoes would want my resent performance to be defensible.

This is important to me, and as I believe I mentioned in general, even though you seem blind to it I'm not the only on.  Time was, that would be what the Mods and such were there for, what generally they'ld be expected to do, and as an easy 50% what they expect to do and WANT to do; give IT support and other system-related help to the users.  It's pathetic that so many of you in modern cyber culture in that position at best have an I really don't care and frankly enjoy rubbing it in attitude.  When you volunteered to be a mod or such back then, that's what you were stepping up to.  It was a good thing, that you in theory showwed yourself worthy of and trustworthy with.  Not you having proven your metal in some other arena and finally being issued your pain stick and given the official salute.  Cyberspace use to be a paradise under construction.  With ALL the trimmings -- shattering barriers of distance and national borders, generation gaps, class ("moores law" applies).  Entire new plane of reality, just like in trippy movies and talkshow interviews.  *Really*!  Virtual reality, computer-assisted thinktanks that form on the fly, and can result in friendships/partnerships.  Intelligent software agents that seek out chances to do good deeds (we'll call that the flipside of the full-autonomous predator drone, or Google's Panda algorithm).  WHY DID YOU PEOPLE DO THIS TO THE CULTURE?  WHAT HAPPEND!?
