I can fill out every field but I can't select a Category.
Mouse over puts the box around the category but left click does nothing.
save and preview work and then page says I need to select a category

Win XP Pro, SP3, Intel 2 Duo,3GHz, 3.5G ram, I.E. 8, current Java, current Flash

Edit: just saw the other reports of the same problem.

I think the guys fixed a problem with IE recently.  Is this still happening?
