Those kids showed a severe lack of respect for their elders imo. But this did quite a bit to erase in peoples' minds that kids are angels and beyond reproach, spend more and more money on these little twits at their schools and elsewhere. This is a huge story that has been picked up everywhere, hence the emotional response that netted the lady all that money. From what I heard, these kids didn't just make fun of her weight in the most crass manner, they implied her son committed suicide to get away from her (I haven't seen the tapes). Put me in the camp that says under curtain circumstances it should be ok to slap someone upside the head with impunity.

I'd agree. A good smack upside the head might be just what they need.


I just dont see the connection between 600 thousand dollars and verbal abuse. Just seems like sheep-like behavior to me. Its their cash though, so whatever.


This thread was started more as my critique on society, than anything negative about the lady who got called names. Good for her for getting paid by a bunch of dummies williing to donate.  Thats awesome.  Meanwhile, the homeless dude that got his face chewed off by a zombie and most likely blind for the rest of his life,  is having a hard time with donations to pay his medical bills.


People are fucked up.
