I bet adding thick refried beans to a meat chili would taste good.
I'm thinking you may be right. Do not forget that the "Real" refritos have a lot of lard in them.

/Can I haz a "Let's Talk Refritos Puta" thread?

I think I said "A LOT" not just some. You should be able to name the pig based on the amount of fat in them beans.
Also, if you try to avoid the fat the beans start to look like shit, literally.

Making chili right now on my break.
Red beans, chile beans, black beans, grilled onion from my parents garden, onion salt, lowrys, brown sugar, generic mexican brand hot sauce, chili powder, ground beef, corn, tomatoes from a jar from my parents garden. Tossin it in a crock pot and gonna eat it tonight.
