Far as I know, there haven't been any back-room discussions about it.  I think everyone's just in who-cares mode.  Its got amusement value.  Jules, Ian and Mark are here regularly, they don't seem to care. 

Usually we kill the spam-bots.  They don't even deserve a cursory glance.  This guy is hacking away IRL, banking on his minor fame and nobody's heard of him.  You gotta admit, its pretty hilarious.  Name one other place who's got a pet wrassler who's selling t-shirts.  You just can't buy that kinda funny.

What'd he do? 

Look, heres the deal.  A lot of people offer up a thing for sale occasionally, or a service, or advertise their own website in their sig.  Theres nothing really wrong with that.  If its a spammer, thats different.  Common sense applies the basic rules to be observed.  If you post about other stuff, then occasionally mention or display your website, its really no different than putting someone elses website in your sig, and people do that all the time. 

If it gets to be a problem with someone, it'll get handled.  But we all post links, and mention lots of various businesses.  If you're saying nobody should be able to mention their own business a little bit, maybe this ain't the right place for you.  This isn't gonna turn into Craigs List, nobody wants that.  But we're all pretty tight-assed about restricting what people can say or do.  I, for one, don't want to get into the minutia of making very specific rules about what you can or cannot do.  So, we're only gonna hammer something that is unmistakably a nail. 

If you see someone that is going way beyond the norm, report it, or PM me or Linds or John.

The problem is his product and prices suck. He should get better shit for a decent amount of $$. Also he whines which is intolerable.
