That is completely disgusting, especially considering that Ron Paul is still running.  This is a blatant attempt to bring Paul supporters over to Romney and possibly set Rand up for a VP nomination or future presidential run.  It's basically just unprincipled political maneuvering on Rand's part, though I guess we've known for a while that Rand is markedly less liberty-leaning than his father.

Rand Paul said many times that he would eventually endorse the GOP nominee.  Ron Paul just announced that he will not be the GOP nominee.  However, I though Rand Paul would wait until after UT votes.  Oh well.

I've learned to be pleasantly surprised when Rand Paul does "the right thing" and accept it as his nature when he plays politics.  It's not like I'd ever vote for him, either way.

Ron Paul, Don't Destroy Yourself

Not a Alex fan by any stretch, but I think he is right on this one.

Yeah I heard that too. AJ is a dick, but I still listen sometimes for some reason. Maybe its the constant drama, I dont know.

He does have a point.

On the other hand, Rand is his own man, so ya cant blame the old man for his decisions.

I didn't really get the impression Alex Jones was blaming anybody. I think some psycho probably showed Rand photos of his kids school or told him what will happen to Ron if the curtain of authority is pulled back exposing the status quo.
Guess we all needed a reality check. We were always fucked. The Fed and the Military industrial complex and god knows who else will not allow anything that threatens their power. Since they will eventually be along on this end up eating the dog roller coaster I don't see why.

I think we all knew since his campaign that Rand was far from Ron Paul, intellectually and philosophically, and is much more of a politician and compromiser. He's a little better than the other politicians, but not worthy of the work that people, who otherwise would not involve themselves in politics, have done for Ron Paul's campaign. May as well prepare to see the ugly sight of Rand on the stump for Romney.

That's what I said in 2001...and 2002...and 2004...then I stopped saying that.

Have there been no new anarchists since 2001?

It was after 2008 that I finally adopted the anarcho-austrian philosophy.  The hardest hurdle to overcome was the idea that we "needed" government to "keep order" and "catch bad guys".  There's a lot of military worship ingrained in Southern culture.

I haven't seen a remarkable change.

That's a bummer.  I am going to try to remain optimistic as long as I can.  This could prove to be difficult.
