I know...I've been slipping out of my metal phase for a few years now and the transformation process is almost complete. But there are a few songs that I just can't let go of. They are too good.

If you're a lover of good music and musicians with genuine talent, whether you like metal or not, give this song a chance. Grab some quality stereo headphones, hit play, and tune out the vocals if they're not your thing. The back and forth nature of the guitars and the melodies, harmonies, and other musical terms, etc. are just very good. I think no matter how much I start to move away from my metalhead days, this song and a few others will always stick with me....

Not to ruin anyone's view of them, but some members of Emperor have had a couple run-ins with the law.. church burnings & murder even. Still pretty good music though.

Yep. Faust stabbed a gay guy to death for coming on to him and one of the others helped burn down a thousand year old stave church. Pisses me off. Those historic buildings are beautiful.

I generally don't listen to music, and especially not metal, but the music in the OP sounded like a modern rendition of an orchestra.
