"And if you do, then you’re racist, or a nationalist which is at least as absurd.

I didn't say I don’t care. Of course I care about children dying. I just don’t particularly care. I don’t actually know them or their families. Children are dying violent deaths every day all over the world. I don’t mean to be dismissive about it. I literally cannot mourn them all and still be a functional human being. What is disturbing to me is the sense that this event is deserving of special recognition all over the country, and to only a slightly lesser extent in other countries with predominantly white populations. I would hope folks would appreciate my honesty but I don’t expect brownie points for it."

Wow! You do like shooting sacred cows, don't you? Razz But, on a more serious note, I do agree with you but what really gets my blood boiling is the vultures flocking to the blood bath making political promises while the bodies are still warm.  They should be banned from showing their ugly faces on TV for at the very least 30 days after the tragedy.

By the way, did you see Piers Morgan blowing up on TV and losing all sense of journalistic credibility?

They were talking about on Coast to Coast AM (I think) that most of the reason why these people do this is because of the sensationalism they know they'll receive. They pick and easy target where they can kill as many people as possible before killing themselves to make some sort of mark of the world that people will remember. One way to reduce the occurrence possibly would be for the police or media to not release the name of the killer, but that's never going to happen.

Dale, meh. Different people are different.

I don't particularly care about adults in any mass killings. They're responsible for the situations they put themselves in.

But kids? Man, thats bad. I give a damn about the little fuckers.

People aren't freaking out over the thousands of children killed in auto accidents in the US every year...it's politically drummed up fear and loathing.
