I can't stand to watch it any more. It was a guilty (pleasure?) for a few weeks. I kept waiting for it to develop into something...I wish I had all that wasted time back. It's probably worse than V or Flash Forward.

On IMDB, there's a lot of "typical JJ Abrams trash" comments. I'm starting to agree. The only thing of his I've seen and liked was the Star Trek film, which a lot of serious trekkies wanted to kill him for. Is it too much to hope that Abrams gets black listed?

I'm still watching, though I'm not as excited about it now that we kinda know why the power went off. Now I just really, REALLY want them to get to the big battle, but they probably won't get around to that until the spring half of the season starts.

I also have a problem with the Stars and Stripes and the republic it represented being held up as some wholesome thing they should want to "bring back." If anything, the environment of this story is one which lends itself to moving forward to something new--something I'd hoped for on the outset, particularly given the show's name.

The patriotism is hilarious. I'm liking the show so far, but I couldn't help notice how backwards it is. The US Flag somehow represents rebellion. The symbol of an established government is being used to show rebellion to the established government. Aside from the "Militia" and lack of electricity, society looks like it's better off without government.
