MP3 Podcast RSS Not Working!

I posted this as a follow-up to a comment from someone about iTunes not updating properly, but I thought it would be a good idea to start a dedicated thread.

Since the shift to SoundCloud, the http://feeds.feedburner.com/ftlradio RSS feed now takes you to the SoundCloud page for the episode, and is no longer a direct link to the MP3 file.  This is causing problems for podcasting software, such as my BlackBerry Podcasts app which used to automatically download the MP3 file and is now giving me a "failed" message instead.

Could you guys setup another RSS feed that links directly to the MP3 file and not the SoundCloud page?  I've been manually downloading the MP3 file before I leave the house in the morning and would hate to arrive at work only to realize I forgot to download the recent FTL episode.

I will alert Ian to the issue. In the interim just use the direct links from www.Soundcloud.com/FreeTalkLive:

Also, you should use Podtrapper for your Blackberry, its much better!

The Feedburner URL works in Podtrapper. I don't use Blackberry Podcasts, but I will give it a whirl and see if its a program limitation issue. And yes, Podtrapper is much better than Blackberry Podcast

Can't get BB Podcasts to work with SoundCloud feed directly. Seems like its a feed validation issue with BB Podcasts. Glad I don't use that program!

Hey guys, thanks for taking a look into this issue and following up so quickly.  FTL is the only podcast I subscribe to that's not working in Blackberry Podcasts, and I understand it appears to be a slight limitation with the software.  I tried Podtrapper but I'm not a big fan of the interface and the software needs to be running in order to download the most recent episode.  If more people encounter this issue and a feed is created that links directly to the MP3 file, could you please post the link in this thread?  Until then, I'll have to set a mental reminder to manually download the most recent episode in the morning before I head out to work.  Thanks again guys.

As you can see the enclosure tags properly link to an MP3.  I am not sure why that your program is incompatible with this.  Again, it tests good with Feed Validator, so I'm not sure what to do.
