Changing around the FTL news feed

Good evening. I've got a few ideas about changing the FTL news feed--you can take them or leave em.
1. Allow users to directly link to the story with their first click.
2. Eliminate the bottom two rows of content that look like this:
Created by PV 9 hours 50 min ago – Made popular 4 hours 12 min ago
Category: Property Rights Tags: cops police Property Rights tresspass Video
3. Maybe have the first comment on an article automatically generate a thread on the forums. This might drive a little bit of traffic to the BBS.
Your thoughts?

I suggested #1 first off. As I understand it, it is not possible due to the program or something.

No one has conjectured that I could quite possibly be a Libertarian posing as an Anarchist trying to pretend to still be a Libertarian; or what I like to call an Anarcho-Hustler.
