This is utterly ridiculous.  I live in Sweden where we have a national healthcare system.  I got 2 back surgeries for 20 dollars and my kids got the necessary healthcare they need.  There is no denial of treatment, and I have never experienced wait times.  As far as waiting times, I experience waits of a couple of hours,  for walk ins or If it is an emergency you can get immediate care.  As far as waiting 3 months for elective surgery that applies for things like back surgeries or tonsils etc.  Also bear in mind these are free for kids  and seniors and nominal cost for everyone else.  When I recently had a problem with my ear, what I will equate with you seeing a foot specialist.  I was able to seen on the same day.  It is all propaganda.  I knew a person from the states who was told from the insurance company that it was his fault that he got a re occuring cancer and they would not pay for his treatment.  When we went to a private hospital in new york where my wife gave birth.  The admission guy said that "if they don't have insurance, my job is to get them out of here as soon as possible."  You do have the option for private insurance for shorter wait times, however everyone is entitled to healthcare.  They do go after tax cheats and you do have to pay the taxes
